Concepcion Caught Bluffing

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

William Kopp raised first to act and was called by Rafael Concepcion. The flop fell {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Kopp bet, Concepcion called. After the {J-Hearts} turn both players checked and Kopp bet again the {K-Clubs} on the river. Concepcion raised and Kopp gave it some thought, then called.

"He called?" Concepcion asked and, once that was confirmed, he shook the head before adding "I have nothing" and revealing the {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Kopp turned over the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for two pair and won the pot.

"First Pot I've Won in Six Hours"

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Left with just 125,000 after the previous hand, Denny Axel went all in and William Kopp called.

Denny Axel: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
William Kopp: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Axel doubled up with his queens.

"It's the beginning of the comeback!" he cheered. "First pot I've won in six hours, write that down."

Axel in Big Trouble

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Denny Axel
Denny Axel

Brandon Ageloff lost some chips against Mack Lee when the latter bet the {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and the {6-Clubs} turn. After the {K-Spades} river both players checked and Lee showed {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for a flush to scoop the pot.

Kate Hoang and William Kopp chopped a pot when the former hit a low on the board {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} with {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} while Kopp had top two with {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Chad Eveslage raised in the small blind and Denny Axel reluctantly called from the big blind. Eveslage bet the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and Axel folded with very few chips behind.

Rafael Concepcion raised and Hoang called out of the big blind. Hoang bet the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop and Concepcion called. On the {3-Diamonds} turn, Hoang checked and folded to a bet by Concepcion.

On the Chopping Block

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Kate Hoang raised in late position and Rafael Concepcion defended his big blind. Concepcion check-called three streets postflop on a {4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} board as Hoang kept barreling.

Hoang showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} for the nut flush and, slightly disgusted with the outcome, Concepcion opened up {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for a wheel to chop.

Tammer Ilcaffas Eliminated in 9th Place ($16,832)

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Tammer Ilcaffas
Tammer Ilcaffas

Tammer Ilcaffas moved all in for 65,000 and Kate Hoang min-raised to 105,000. Brandon Ageloff in the big blind asked if it was a legit raise and called. The flop came {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Ageloff bet, Hoang folded.

Tammer Ilcaffas: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Brandon Ageloff: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Ilcaffas needed running cards for a straight, and got some hope with the {J-Spades} turn, however the {7-Clubs} river was a blank and Ilcaffas was eliminated in 9th place for $16,832.

Big Scoop for Kopp

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Kate Hoang limped in and William Kopp raised in the cutoff. Mack Lee called in the big blind, as did Hoang. On the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop, action checked to Kopp and his bet was called. Kopp bet once more on the {J-Clubs} turn to see both opponents check-call before the {K-Spades} river was checked through.

Kopp announced ace-king and tabled the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. That scooped the pot, as both opponents folded.

Martini Rising Up

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Julien Martini
Julien Martini

In two hands, Julien Martini worked his way back up from short stack to a very playable amount. In the first hand, Kate Hoang raised on the button and Martini defended his big blind. The flop was {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Martini check-raised a bet from Hoang, who called.

On the {Q-Spades} turn, Martini shoved the rest of his stack and Hoang called.

Julien Martini: {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Kate Hoang: {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Martini was ahead with a set of fives but needed to dodge straight- and low draws from Hoang in order to win it all. The river was a paint card and Martini doubled up.

Shortly after, Martini was involved in three-way action against Rafael Concepcion and Tammer Ilcaffas. On the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop, Martini and Concepcion checked to Ilcaffas, who bet. Martini check-raised, Concepcion cold-called and Ilcaffas called as well.

Martini bet the {6-Clubs} turn and received two swift calls. On the {10-Hearts} river, Martini thought a bit before betting. Concepcion thought over half a minute before calling, and Ilcaffas overcalled again.

Martini showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to win the high hand with a set of queens. Concepcion rolled over {J-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for the second nut low, and Ilcaffas mucked.

"Wow, I almost folded that sh*t," Concepcion yelled after the hand.

Kopp Doubles Through Ilcaffas

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Rafael Concepcion raised and picked up two callers in Chad Eveslage and Kate Hoang in the big blind. On the {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop, action checked to Eveslage and his bet was called by both opponents. On the {2-Spades} turn, Hoang bet and both Concepcion and Eveslage called.

The {4-Hearts} fell on the river and Hoang bet, only Concepcion called. Hoang showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for the nut low and Concepcion chopped it up with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for the nut flush.

Right after, Tammer Ilcaffas raised and William Kopp got it in out of the big blind after the {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop, Ilcaffas called.

Kopp showed the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Hearts} for the straight, while Ilcaffas had the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{5-Spades}. The {4-Hearts} turn and {Q-Hearts} river brought no suckout as Kopp doubled his short stack.
