Fitzhugh Eliminated; Reid on Fumes

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

On a {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Spades} flop, Jermaine Reid bet the small bet of 10,000, Scott Fitzhugh called all in for 4,000 and James Pursley called as well. Reid bet the {5-Diamonds} turn and Pursley called.

On the {8-Spades} river, Reid check-called a bet from Pursley to leave himself with just 22,000 behind.

Scott Fitzhugh: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Jermaine Reid: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
James Pursley: {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}

It was a scoop for Pursley with eights and fives, as well as the nut low. Reid was left with dust, Fitzhugh was gone in 34th.

Gregory Dinkin: {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Matt Woodward: {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

Dinkin held a straight for high, Woodward the nut low and Bjorin mucked.

Muir Busts First; Simonelli Takes a Rough Beat

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Frank Muir
Frank Muir

"I had ace three king seven nut diamond, make sure to write that one down," Jesse Simonelli said after he was just scooped by Christopher Roth. On a board of {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, Simonelli had a boat, kings over sevens, but Roth had gotten there with the higher full house to take a big chunk out of Simonelli's stack.

At the same time over on a different table, Frank Muir was scooped by Danny Wong. who made the nut straight without any qualifying low hand to save Muir.

Ageloff Leads Last 36 Into Day 3, Four Bracelet Winners in Contention

Two-Time WSOP bracelet winner Mike Wattel among bigger stacks for Day 3
Two-Time WSOP bracelet winner Mike Wattel among bigger stacks for Day 3

The next event of the 2018 World Series of Poker is one step closer to crowning a champion at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, as Event #4: $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better will see 36 hopefuls out of a 911-entry strong field return to the tables as of 2 p.m. local time. With the lion's share of the $1,229,850 prize pool still up for grabs, all survivors have $5,605 locked up for the efforts and a payday of $239,771 will be up for grabs for the champion.

Four former WSOP bracelet winners are still in contention to further engrave their name into poker history: Chris Bjorin (488,000) and Mike Wattel (262,000) already have two bracelets to their name, while Mike Leah (99,000) and Jason Lester (95,000) have one each.

At the top of the counts reign Brandon Ageloff (555,000) and Matt Woodward (505,000), the only two players with more than half a million in chips thus far. Further notables in contention include Chad Eveslage (364,000), Jeff Shulman (291,000), Daniel Buzgon (173,000), Kate Hoang (167,000), Julien Martini (140,000), James Chen (110,000), Danny Wong (76,000) and 2016 WSOP Main Event 8th place finisher Jerry "HumLun" Wong (48,000).

The action is set to resume with level 21 and blinds of 5,000/10,000 and one third of the remaining hopefuls has fewer than 10 full big bets for the first level. The 3-day tournament is scheduled to play down to a champion, however, an additional day may be added depending on the progress on Day 3. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to provide all the action until a champion is crowned and the final table is set to be streamed on the Twitch Channel of PokerGo.
