Small Pots Only

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante

On a flop of {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Fraser MacIntyre faced a bet of 5,000 and raised it up to 20,000 from the hijack in order to claim the pot uncontested.

Noah Schwartz raised and picked up a single caller in Martin Kozlov in the small blind. The duo checked the {J-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and the {7-Clubs} turn. Kozlov bet the pot for 3,450 on the {8-Spades} river and Schwartz folded, he was left with one fifth of the starting stack.

Maxime Heroux has as many chips left after taking on Keith Lehr. On the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop, Lehr had checked in the small blind and Tobias Ziegler bet 1,800. Heroux called and Lehr check-raised to 8,400. Only Heroux called to see the {5-Spades} turn go check, check. On the {4-Diamonds} river, Lehr bet 13,000 and Heroux reluctantly folded.

Craig Varnell
Craig Varnell

With about 6,000 chips in the middle and a flop of {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} on board, Alex Foxen bet 4,000 from middle position and Craig Varnell called from the button.

The turn brought the {8-Spades} and Foxen bet again, 11,800 this time. Varnell called.

The {3-Spades} hit the river and Foxen bet 19,500. Varnell called, announced a flush, and flipped over {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

"Good hand," said Foxen as he mucked and the dealer pushed the pot Varnell's way.

D'Angelo Doubles Through Karakitukov

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante

On a heads-up flop of {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Ryan D'Angelo was all in and at risk with the {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and his former nemesis Veselin Karakitukov looked him up with the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}. The {5-Hearts} turn gave Karakitukov a straight, but D'Angelo improved to the higher straight thanks to the {6-Diamonds} on the river.

One hand later, Jesper "Kipster" Hougaard raised to 1,500 and Junayed Khan called in the small blind. Khan bet the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop for 2,000 and Hougaard called. On the {Q-Clubs} turn, Khan made it 4,000 to go and Hougaard raised to 13,000, which was called by Khan. Both checked the {A-Diamonds} on the river and Khan announced a straight. Hougaard showed the {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a flush and claimed the pot.

Jason Mercier has also recovered from the earlier blow in the three-way all in and more than doubled his short stack since.
