Salem Triples Twice to Stay Alive

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Lee Salem was down to just 900 chips before getting it in against Brant Hale. Salem made a wheel to beat Hale's eighty-six and tripled to 2,700.

The very next hand, Nam Le opened and Salem put his stack in middle once more. Danny Noam tagged along as well. Salem took three, as did Noam, and Le few just one. Noam check-folded to a bet.

Salem drew three again and Le drew one. On the final draw, Salem drew two and Le swapped one again.

Salem opened a {j-}{6-}{4-}{2-}{2-} but survived when Le tabled an {8-}{6-}{6-}{4-}{2-} for a worse pair.

Hale Leaves Salem Short

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Lee Salem raised to 4,000 from under the gun before Brant Hale made it three bets from the big blind.

Salem called and drew two as Hale drew one and bet out 2,000. Salem called and drew two again, while Hale drew one and bet 4,000.

Salem called, and then both players drew one.

Hale bet 4,000, and Salem called. Hale fanned his {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, and Salem mucked, and was left with 900 in chips.

Sheikhan Scoops with a Nine-Eight in Multiway Pot

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Shawn Sheikhan
Shawn Sheikhan

From under the gun, Shawn Sheikhan raised to 4,000 and Hanh Tran three-bet next to act. Nikolai Yakovenko called in the small blind, as did Luke Schwartz in the big blind.

Sheikhan made it four bets to go, and Tran, Yakovenko and Schwartz all called. Yakovenko drew one, Schwartz drew three, Sheikhan drew one, and Tran drew two.

Sheikhan bet out 2,000 and his three opponents called. Yakovenko drew one, Schwartz drew two, Sheikhan drew one, and Tran drew two.

Action checked to Sheikhan again, and he bet out 4,000 as his three opponents called. Schwartz drew two, while the other three players all drew one.

Sheikhan bet one more time, and Tran called while Yakovenko and Schwartz folded.

Sheikhan fanned his {9-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}, and Tran mucked.
