Danny Wong Doubles His Short Stack

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Danny Wong was all in for 73,000 and Lautaro Guerra called off with a double paired hand.

Wong peeled a very good-looking {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} while Guerra had {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

The board of {5-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Clubs} hit Wong's king and he celebrated a double.

Miller Eliminates Beckman

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

After one check, Jason Beckman shoved for 60,000 on a {5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop. Ryan Miller isolated with a shove of his own in the next seat holding {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a wrap with a flush draw and a pair. Beckman had {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for top pair. The {7-Hearts} kept him ahead but the {9-Hearts} river delivered a straight for Miller.

Hakim Falls to Wong's Straight Flush

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Jerry Wong
Jerry Wong

Jeff Hakim opened to 42,000 and Jerry Wong three-bet to 140,000. Hakim moved all in and Wong called right away.

Hakim had {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} but it was a tough race against Wong's {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Wong's double suited connectors filled immediately on the flop, leaving Hakim drawing dead as the {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} hit the felt. Wong flopped a straight flush, earning some "wows" from the table while Hakim was packing his belongings.

The {10-Hearts} turn and {3-Hearts} river were a formality and Wong chipped up to 820,000.

Sammartino Wins a Monster Pot with Double Suited Aces

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

Dario Sammartino was in a pot that brewed to gigantic dimensions. We picked up the action on the river where Sammartino shoved his 430,000 or so when Xuedong Li checked to him. Sammartino had him covered by almost 100,000 and a fairly quick call followed.

Sammartino had flopped the nut flush on the {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Hearts} board, showing double suited aces with {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Li turned up {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} for an inferior flush and the big chunk of money went to Sammartino who now commands his table with a 1.25 million stack.

Hughes Busts Flack in Most Massive Pot Yet

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Layne Flack
Layne Flack

Layne Flack opened for a raise early and got calls from his neighbors in the next two seats, Jerry Wong and Ryan Hughes. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Flack bet 100,000. Only Hughes continued. The turn came {2-Spades} and Flack check-called 300,000. The river was the {2-Clubs}. Flack cut down one his stacks and then announced all in.

It looked to be about 300,000 but Hughes didn't even need a count as he announced an immediate call and tabled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for tens full. Flack revealed a hand that included {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} but the dealer whipped the others around and shuffled them into the muck forever before we could catch the other two.

Porter Catches Lamb Bluffing

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Rep Porter was in the big blind, checking to Ben Lamb on the river of the {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} board.

Lamb fired 125,000 which looked close to a pot-sized bet. Porter called after a while and Lamb declared "pair of eights," knowing his hand wouldn't be strong enough in the showdown.

Porter didn't wait for Lamb to roll his busted hand over and showed the winner with {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}. Lamb dropped under 10 bigs as he was left with around 135,000.
