Schwartz Loses His Micro Stack

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Noah Schwartz acted first preflop and called for 6,000. Danny Wong limped for 8,000 in the cutoff and so did button Richard Lyndaker. The player in the big blind checked and the whole runout {4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades} was checked and Schwartz showed {8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Spades} for just a rivered pair of eights, already standing up.

Danny Wong was the one delivering the KO after opening {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for two pair.

At another table, Shawn Buchanan lost his remaining chips to get it down to 73 on the stone bubble.

No Hand-for-Hand, Ohel Bubbles the PLO Championship

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Randy Ohel
Randy Ohel

Just when the tournament floor person informed the dealers to stop the action after the hand in progress, a big hand played out on Table 439. Everything was ready to switch for the hand-for-hand mode on a stone bubble once the hand would be over, with the field down to 73 players.

It started with Randy Ohel limping under the gun. Chase Steely was in the hijack, making it 25,000 and Bogdan Capitan called in the cutoff and Ohel called as well.

The flop came {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Ohel potted for 87,000. Chase Steely raised all in and Capitan got out of the way. Ohel threw in his last 20,000 or so.

Randy Ohel: {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Chase Steely: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Ohel had a wrap and a nine while Steely turned up two pair and a flush draw.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and the {A-Diamonds} river brought no help for Ohel either.

"Dammit," Ohel said, knowing he fell short of cashing.

Lee Three-Bets Shack-Harris into the Muck

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Brandon Shack-Harris was big blind and check-raised to 160,000 when Mack Lee bet 80,000 in middle position on {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Lee responded by shoving all in and Shack-Harris mucked pretty quickly.

Paddock Delivers a Bad Beat to Survive

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Robert Paddock and Steven Gagliano had turned their hands face up when we arrived and the dealer was about to roll out the board to determine the preflop contest. Both players had strong holdings but Gagliano's hand was dominating.

Paddock: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Gagliano: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{Q-}{5-}

The board ran {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} to give Paddock a boat and Gagliano stood up from his chair.

"Come on, bro!". Gagliano said in disbelief.

Gagliano conceded 113,000 to Paddock and play carried on.
