Negreanu Heads to the Rail at the Hands of Aido

Level 4 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu was on a short stack and he opened on the button with a raise to 10,000. Sergio Aido was in the small blind and he three-bet to 34,000. Action was back on Negreanu and he moved all in for right around 110,000. Aido snap-called.

Daniel Negreanu: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Sergio Aido: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

"No good," Negreanu said upon seeing the hands. "Ace is coming."

The flop didn't have an ace in it though when it fell {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

"Ok, diamonds coming," Negreanu said.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}.

"Or straight coming," Negreanu said upon picking up a slew of outs.

The river was the {10-Hearts} though, and Negreanu missed everything, making only a pair that was no good.

"Ok everyone, time for a break," Negreanu said heading out the door.

Aido took down the pot and moved back over starting stack.

Elias Sends Petrangelo Into the Tank

Level 4 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

Nick Petrangelo raised to 8,000 from middle position and was called by Darren Elias in the hijack, Larry Greenberg in the cutoff and Blake Bohn in the big blind. The flop came {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Petrangelo continued for 9,000. Both Elias and Greenberg called while Bohn check-folded.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and Petrangelo stayed the course with a bet of 45,000. Elias called and Greenberg followed suit as all three players went to the river which was the {4-Spades}. Petrangelo checked this time and Elias threw in a bet of 135,000. Greenberg quickly mucked his cards and Petrangelo, on the other hand, had a bit more of a decision to make. He thought for nearly three minutes and used up all of his time extensions before finally laying his hand down.

Andreas Eiler
Andreas Eiler

Jason Koon doubled up just the hand before with pocket jacks against Anthony Zinno's pocket sevens.

In this hand, Koon was all in for a side pot of 50,000 from the small blind. Action was on the turn and there was roughly 100,000 in the main pot with the board showing {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Zinno was first to act from the big blind and he put out a bet of 125,000. Andreas Eiler, was on the button and he called.

The river was the {5-Diamonds} prompting checks from both players.

Jason Koon: {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Anthony Zinno: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}
Andreas Eiler: {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Zinno and Eiler both had two pair, but Eiler's was better with jacks and nines. He took down the big pot while Koon was eliminated from the tournament. He quickly headed to registration to re-enter.

"See you in a few, guys," Koon said standing up.

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Noah Schwartz raised to 8,000 from early position and Dan Smith just called from the big blind. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Smith checked to Schwartz who continued for 9,000. Smith check-raised to 26,000 and Schwartz made the call.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Smith continued for 35,000. Schwartz stuck around to see the {a-Clubs} land on the river. Smith made a small bet of 25,000 and Schwartz felt inclined to pay him off. Smith tabled {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Schwartz was unable to beat it.

At the table next door, Nick Petrangelo opened to 6,500 in the hijack and was called by Larry Greenberg on the button, Manig Loeser in the small blind, and Dominik Nitsche in the big blind. The flop fell {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} and the action checked to Greenberg who bet 20,000. Loeser folded and Nitsche raised to 45,000. Petrangelo also folded and Greenberg called.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and Nitsche checked which allowed Greenberg to bet 60,000. Nitsche made the call and the {q-Hearts} completed the board. Nitsche check-called another bet of 50,000 from Greenberg who showed {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the winner.

"Larry is my favorite player," Cary Katz said with a laugh from the other side of the table.

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

Steffan Sontheimer had what looked like a three-bet in front of him before David Peters put in a cold-four bet to 62,000. Action folded back around to Sontheimer who called making heads-up action.

The flop was {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and both players checked. They checked again on the {4-Spades} turn.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Sontheimer opted to lead out, betting 35,000. Peters thought for a while, tanking through his 30-second time bank as well as most of one extension before announcing a raise and making it 150,000. Sontheimer thought for almost his full 30 seconds before letting his hand go.

"Did you have aces, David?" Sontheimer asked.

Peters smirked and raked in the pot.
