Schillhabel Doubles with Aces

Level 8 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Stefan Schillhabel
Stefan Schillhabel

Ryan Riess opened to 25,000 from middle position and Kenny Hallaert called on the button. Stefan Schillhabel was in the big blind and pushed all in for 141,000 which got a quick fold from Riess. Hallaert thought for a brief moment but then made the call and the cards were tabled.

Stefan Schillhabel: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Kenny Hallaert: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

The flop came {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} which gave Schillhabel a bit of a sweat with a pair of tens for Hallaert. The {5-Hearts} on the turn and the {6-Spades} on the river bricked off though and Schillhabel scored a double up.

Holz Doesn't Believe Hata

Level 8 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On a flop of {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} Aymon Hata was first to act. He put out a bet of 55,000. His only opponent, Fedor Holz thought for a bit before calling.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and Hata tanked through a full time bank before putting out a bet of 105,000. Holz thought for a bit then called.

On the {4-Diamonds} river, Hata shoved. Holz thought for almost all of his time before letting go of his hand.

"I think you're full of shit," Holz said after the hand with a smile. "But I haven't played with you before so it's hard to know."

Hata collected the pot and laughed.

Negreanu Feels Insulted

Level 8 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded around to Dietrich Fast on the button who raised it up to 25,000. Daniel Negreanu called from the small blind and the two players saw a flop of {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Both players checked and a third {a-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn.

Negreanu led out for 20,000 and Fast made the call as the {q-Hearts} completed the board. Negreanu bet another 30,000 and Fast used up a time extension before raising to 85,000.

"Did you really just use a time extension for that?" Negreanu asked. "If you have an ace and used a time extension, that's terrible."

Negreanu made the call and Fast showed him the {a-Spades}{4-Clubs} for quads. Negreanu was left shaking his head, "I feel insulted that you just wasted 30 seconds."

"It's Daniel's second bullet," said tablemate Dietrich Fast. "He can't be bluffing."

"Why? There's another tournament tomorrow," quipped Negreanu.

Seidel Runs Into Broadway

Level 8 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

With around 125,000 in the middle and the board reading {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, Ben Tollerene bet 105,000 from the small blind. Erik Seidel tanked for about a minute in the big blind before making the call and the {k-Diamonds} paired the board on the river.

Tollerene checked this time and Seidel announced all in for 167,000. Tollerene instantly called for his last 160,000 and Seidel flipped over {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Tollerene tabled {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for Broadway and Seidel was left with just 7,000 chips, which he would go on to lose the very next hand.

Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

Ryan Riess opened on the button with a raise to 25,000. Dietrich Fast was next to act and he put out a bet of 280,000 which represented a significant portion of his stack. Action folded back to Riess who moved all in quickly and Fast called.

Dietrich Fast: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Ryan Riess: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} which left Fast drawing dead on the turn, as Riess made a full house. The stacks were matched up and before leaving, Fast jokingly raked in the pot before pushing it to Riess. Reiss moves over 1 million chips after taking down the pot.
