Wilkerson Adds a Bounty

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Dylan Wilkerson
Dylan Wilkerson

On a board reading {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, the two players were heads-up when Longxiang Wang checked and Dylan Wilkerson bet 2,500. Wang made the call and the turn fell a {k-Clubs}. Afer one more check from Wang, Wilkerson fired 25,000, putting Wang's tournament at risk. After some thought, Wang eventually called with {9-Spades}{8-Spades} and was facing {k-Spades}{j-Spades} in Wilkerson's hand.

The river {j-Hearts} then gave Wilkerson a better two pair and the winning hand, and Wang made his way to the cashier.

Rettenmaier Shows the Nuts

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The board read {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Frank Mariani checked from the big blind position to Marvin Rettenmaier who then bet 8,600. Mariani check-raised to 20,000 and Rettenmair then threw in enough for a call.

The river was the {4-Hearts} and Mariani checked to Rettenmaier who would think for several moments before slowly pushing in a bet of 34,600. Mariani counted out the chips and stuck them into the pot, calling the bet.

Rettenmaier tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for the nut flush and Mariani just smiled, as he turned up {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a turned set and not enough to beat the flush.

Rettenmaier has been on a heater to start the day and after that pot, he is nearing the top of the food chain.

Mariani Eliminates Mendes

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On a raised and reraised pot between Marcelo Giordano Mendes and Frank Mariani, Mendes ended up pushing all in for 44,000 and Mariani made the call.

Holding {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}, Mariani was in good shape to eliminate Mendes who had {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, and the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} board sent Mendes into the rail.
