Gregory De Bora Eliminated in 17th Place ($14, 615)

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Gregory De Bora
Gregory De Bora

Gregory De Bora raised under the gun and Dan Zack three-bet next to act. It folded to Ken Deng in the big blind who put in a fourth bet and both players called. The dealer fanned the {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop and Deng checked.

De Bora bet, leaving himself just 1,000 behind, and both players called. The turn was the {q-Spades} and Deng checked to De Bora who put his last 1,000 chip in the pot. Dan Zack raised to 20,000 and Deng quickly folded.

Zack turned over {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a flopped set of eights and De Bora was drawing dead holding {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The meaningless {6-Clubs} hit the river and De Bora was eliminated in 17th place earning $14,615 for his efforts.

Philip Cordano raised from under the gun and Matt Szymaszek three-bet from late position. It folded back to Cordano who called and they went heads-up to the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop. Both players checked and the dealer burned and turned the {2-Diamonds}.

Cordan check-called a bet from Szymaszek and the river was the {3-Diamonds}. Cordano checked for a third time and Szymaszek bet sending Cordano into the tank for about a minute.

He eventually called and Szymaszek turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. "That's not one of the hands I can beat" joked Cordano as he mucked his hand and Szymaszek dragged in another pot.
