Lanny Levine

John Pannucci had opened the button on the previous hand, and in this hand, he did the same thing, raising to 55,000 on the cutoff. Lanny Levine was sat in the big blind and he upped it to 125,000. Pannucci called and the flop came {2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Levine continued for 125,000 again and Pannucci called. The turn saw a {j-Hearts}, pairing the top card. Levine barreled for 325,000, leaving 270,000 behind.

The {k-Clubs} completed the board and Levine moved in for the rest. It was a quick fold from Pannucci and Levine has added a hefty chunk to his stack.

We Have a Showdown

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Players are still 10-handed and it may have something to do with the tentative style of play that has been seen so far. After a few hands that barely made it to the flop, we just witnessed a showdown hand.

Longsheng Tan opened the hijack and only John Pannucci fancied a look, peeling from the big blind.

It fell {9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and Pannucci checked to Tan, who continued for 75,000. That was the end of the betting, with neither player opting to commit chips on the {10-Clubs} turn or {5-Clubs} river. Pannucci opened up {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and his top pair was good for the pot.

Tan Brought Down to Earth by Brabham

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Longsheng Tan was the clear chip leader when the players redrew for the unofficial final table, but after tangling with Jason Paradis, he had an encounter with Trey Brabham.

Tan raised to 60,000 and got calls from John Pannucci and Trey Brabham.

The flop {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts} was checked by the three players. Brabham bet 90,000 on the {5-Spades} turn and Tan was the only caller.

The river was the {3-Hearts}. Brabham bet 250,000 and Tan called. Brabham showed {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the nut flush and took down the pot.

Tan Takes the Initiative

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

John Pannucci opened to 55,000 in middle position and Lanny Levine called behind and Longsheng Tan came along as well from the big blind.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and all three players checked. The {7-Clubs} turn saw Tan check again and Pannucci delayed his continuation, making it 85,000. This prompted Levine to fold but Tan made the call.

On the {4-Diamonds} river, Tan changed tack, opting to lead rather than check. He made it 175,000 to see his cards and Pannucci decided to fold.

Tan Reclaims the Chip Lead

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Lanny Levine opened to 55,000 and Longsheng Tan three-bet to 150,000. Levine called and they went heads-up to the flop.

It ran out {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Levine checked to Tan, who bet another 150,000 into the pot. Levine upped it to 300,000 and Tan called.

The last two streets came {3-Spades}{j-Hearts} and both players checked it down.

Longsheng Tan: {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Lanny Levine: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

It was pair versus better pair, moving Tan into the chip lead.
