Linde Doubles Up

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{K-Spades}{6-Spades}, Dylan Linde checked in the small blind and then faced a bet of 4,000 from the cutoff and a call from the small blind. Linde potted for 23,000 and the small blind put him all in for a couple of thousands more.

Linde had flopped a set of sixes with {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} while his opponent rolled over {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Linde got a safe runout in {8-Hearts} turn and {6-Hearts} river and scored a massive double.

Kitai Gets There

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Davidi Kitai was all in for 7,400 on the {J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} flop with around 6,000 having been thrown inside the pot preflop. Kitai was behind with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} against {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts} but the {Q-Diamonds} turn gave him a gutshot and he hit the Broadway on the {10-Clubs} river to double up.

Ferguson Felted

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Chris Ferguson was recently eliminated in a three-way all-in with Ramin Hajiyev and Igor Sharaskin. According to the table, all the chips went in before the flop.

Chris Ferguson: {K-}{K-}{Q-}{8-}
Ramin Hajiyev: {A-Clubs}{7-}{5-Clubs}{4-}
Igor Sharaskin: {9-}{8-}{7-}{6-}

Although Ferguson had the advantage preflop, Hajiyev flopped an ace to take the lead. The turn and river brought no help for Ferguson or Sharaskin and Hajiyev took the pot to send Ferguson to the rail.

Burns Keeps the Big Chip

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

Picking up the action on the river of the {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} board, Kahle Burns checked in the big blind and the action was on Dan Heimiller, sitting on the button. There was about 9,000 in the middle and Heimiller was figuring out his bet-sizing.

"Do you have a big chip?" he asked. "Yes," Burns replied and spread his chips so it became clear that he had one pink chip worth 5,000. He had only 7,400 total and Heimiller set the showdown price at 3,600. Burns briefly studied the situation and then folded his hand.

A Straight Flush for Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu and Martin Kozlov were heads-up on a {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts} board with about 12,000 in the middle. Kozlov checked from the small blind, Negreanu bet 4,500 from the button, and Kozlov called.

The {K-Spades} fell on the river and Kozlov checked. Negreanu bet 16,000, and after brief consideration, Kozlov folded.

"I think these two had you," said Negreanu as he flashed {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a turned straight flush. "I was hoping you had the nut flush."

Nitsche Felts a Foe

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche raised from the cutoff and got stacks in against the button in a flurry of activity. Nitsche had the larger of the two stacks.

Dominik Nitsche: {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Button: {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}

Nitsche had the preflop edge and his opponent needed to catch up to survive. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Nitsche's unimproved eights held up to win the pot and stack his opponent.
