Alkeliddar Sends Carey to the Rail

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Jon Carey raised from the button and Yaser Alkeliddar three-bet from the small blind, putting Carey at risk for his last chips. The latter called all in to create the following showdown:

Jon Carey: {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Yaser Alkeliddar: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Carey was in bad shape for a double-up and the {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} runout brought him no help. Carey went to the cashier to receive his 30th-place prize for $4,991.

The action folded to Ronnie Bardah who raised from the button and called a three-bet from Mike Matusow in the small blind.

The flop fell {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Matusow check-raised all in for his last 7,600 after a bet from Bardah. The latter completed with {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds} but was in bad shape to win the hand, facing {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for trip aces in Matusow's hand.

The turn {j-Clubs} and river {a-Clubs} improved Matusow's hand into quads and gave him the double-up.
