Kessler Cooked

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Allen Kessler told us he'd just lost a coin flip for the overwhelming majority of his stack before he moved his last 5,500 into the middle from early position. Both blinds called.

The two live players checked all the way down the {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} board. The small blind showed {Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, the big blind tabled {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, and Kessler held {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}. The small blind took the pot and Kessler made his exit.

Duhamel Folds to a Check-Shove

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

There were about 15,000 chips in the middle and the {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop was out when we got to the table. Action checked to Jonathan Duhamel in middle position and he bet 9,000. The big blind check-raised all in for about 50,000, and after some consideration, Duhamel folded. The big blind showed {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} as the dealer pushed the pot his way.

Lakhov Sends One Home

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Alexander Lakhov
Alexander Lakhov

The player in the cutoff got his stack in the middle preflop against Alexander Lakhov, who was under the gun and had him covered by a wide margin.

Alexander Lakhov: {K-}{K-}
Cutoff: {J-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, so Lakhov's kings held up, and he took the pot to send his opponent to the rail.

Yu Doubles Up

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

There was a pile of chips in the middle and the complete {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} board was out when we got to the table. Ben Yu was in the hijack and facing a decision for about 11,000 from the player in the small blind. Yu shoved for 26,000 and his opponent quickly called.

Yu tabled {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} for kings full, his opponent flashed the {9-Diamonds} as he mucked, and the dealer pushed the pot Yu's way.
