Vitch Survives

Chris Vitch

2-7 Triple Draw

Chris Vitch played a series of pots, the first two at the previous level and the last one at the current one, that ended as a big net positive for him.

First, he bet after the first draw and got raised by George Trigeorgis. Vitch three-bet and Trigeorgis four-bet. Vitch called and both players patted. Vitch checked and tank-folded to a big bet.

In the next hand, Alex Simma raised and both blinds called. Everyone took two and checked. Johannes Becker took two, Vitch took one, and Simma took two. Vitch led the betting and both opponents called. Vitch and Becker drew though, while Simma was pat. Everyone checked the end and Vitch won with {9-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-}.

In the next hand, Vitch raised small blind and Trigeorgis called. Vitch was a mile ahead in the draw on the first two, taking one against three and continuing to bet. Each took one on the final pull and Vitch was quickly called when he bet. He showed {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and took it down.

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Luis Velador won a decent pot against Scott Seiver a few moments ago in a hand of badugi and the two recently tangled for another pot, this time in 2-7 triple draw.

In position, Seiver three-bet over Velador's raise. Velador called and took two while Seiver drew one. Velador checked blind and Seiver bet in the dark. Velador called.

The same procedure before peeling cards followed on the second draw where they drew two and one again. Velador, however, check-raised this time. Seiver called.

Velador stood pat and Seiver changed one for the third and final time. Acition quicky went check-check and Velador won after turning up his {9-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}.

Vitch Sinking

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Chris Vitch has lost a series of pots that left the former leader as one of the shorter stacks. Badugi

Mike Leah raised on the button and Jesse Hamtpon defended his big blind. Hampton drew one and Leah changed two.

Hampton led out and Leah moved all in for 28,000 total.

Both drew one before Hampton patted the last draw. Leah paused and then changed one.

Jesse Hampton: {J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Mike Leah: {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{A-Spades}

Hampton had a jack-dugi and Leah needed a ten of hearts or lower to win. He peeled the {7-Spades} instead and exchanged some "good games" before leaving the tournament area.
