Zhukov Busts Demartini

Level 7 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

James Demartini was all in for a mere 2,600 and Ian Johns completed from the cutoff, as did Viacheslav Zhukov in the small blind, and the big blind checked his option. On the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, the action checked to Johns and he bet, Zhukov raised to force out the big blind while Johns called.

On the {6-Hearts} turn, Zhukov bet and Johns called before doing so again on the {10-Spades} river. Demartini showed {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a full house, Zhukov had the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for quads sixes, and Johns briefly flashed the {A-}{9-}{9-}{3-}.

Baker and Owen Chop; Zhukov Busts Wang

Level 7 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Viacheslav Zhukov
Viacheslav Zhukov

Adam Owen in the small blind check-raised a flop of {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and David "ODB" Baker on the button, who had bet, called. Owen bet the {9-Clubs} turn in order to pick up a call before checking the {J-Diamonds} river. Baker bet and Owen called to get shown {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} by Baker. The two pair were good enough for the high pot, while Owen claimed the low pot with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

On a nearby table, Yong Wang got his remaining short stack in against Viacheslav Zhukov with the flop reading {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

Yong Wang: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Viacheslav Zhukov: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

The {9-Hearts} turn and {10-Spades} river were of no help for Wang and he was eliminated.

More For Glaser

Level 6 : 800/1,500, 0 ante
Benny Glaser in an earlier event
Benny Glaser in an earlier event

Rafael Concepcion raised from middle position, Benny Glaser called from the hijack, and Jean-Robert Bellande called from the big blind.

The flop fell {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and action checked to Glaser who bet. Both Bellande and Concepcion check-called to see the {8-Diamonds} turn. Bellande bet, Concepcion called, and Glaser called. The {8-Spades} river completed the board, Bellande bet, Concepcion folded, and Glaser called.

Bellande showed only {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a jack-high straight, while Glaser tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for eights full of sevens to win the pot.

Ross Doubles Through Taylor

Level 6 : 800/1,500, 0 ante

A short-stacked Mike Ross moved all in on a flop of {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Esther Taylor called.

Mike Ross: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Esther Taylor: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

The board completed with the {K-Spades} and the {A-Clubs} and Ross earned a double up with the board pairing, making him a better two pair than Taylor.

Ross is still dangerously short though with just over 10,000 chips.

Woodward Quarters Nguyen; Magnus Left Short

Level 6 : 800/1,500, 0 ante

Matt Woodward raised from early position and was called by big stack Tai Nguyen in the big blind. On the {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts} turn, Nguyen and Woodward both invested one bet to see the {4-Spades} on the river. Nguyen check-called a bet and Woodward tabled the {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a full house and an ace-six low. Nguyen held {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and only received half of the low pot.

Shortly after, Nadya Magnus raised first to act and got three-bet. Nguyen in the big blind called the raise only to realize that there had been a three-bet, and he had to commit the raise to the pot with call or fold still as option. Nguyen folded and Magnus called. On a board of {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Magnus ended up check-calling bets on each street, but mucked when she was shown {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a set of aces.

Glaser Building a Stack

Level 6 : 800/1,500, 0 ante

Action was on the turn with the board showing {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Benny Glaser was first to act from the small blind and he bet. Both of his opponents called.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and Glaser led again. The big blind player called while the other player in the hand folded. Glaser revealed his {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a full house and that earned him the pot, pushing him over 100,000 chips.

Kate Hoang Chipping Up

Level 6 : 800/1,500, 0 ante

The player under the gun raised, Kate Hoang called from the small blind, and Perry Friedman called from the big blind.

The flop came down {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, and action checked to the initial raiser who continued with a bet. Both Hoang and Friedman called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts}, Hoang bet, Friedman folded, and the under-the-gun player called.

The river was the {Q-Spades}, Hoang bet again, and her opponent folded.
