Paul Volpe

Howell Cheek limped in early position, Tai Nguyen limped, Paul Volpe made it two bets, Talon White called on the button, and Cheek and Nguyen took a flop as well. The {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop got checked to Volpe, who bet. White called, Cheek folded and Nguyen called.

All players checked the {J-Diamonds} on the turn. The {10-Hearts} came on the river and Nguyen checked. Volpe bet, White folded and Nguyen called. Volpe showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for Broadway to collect one of the final pots before the dinner break.

Rast Gets Scooped by Martin

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

In a battle big blind versus button, Jesse Martin bet the {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades} turn and Brian Rast called to see the {9-Spades} on the river. Martin bet once more and Rast called to get shown {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a rivered flush and seven-four low by Martin.

Rast carefully studied his cards and tossed them into the muck to drop to just over the starting stack.

Ryynanen Scoops Three-Way Pot

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Sampo Ryynanen raised in the cutoff and Jesse Martin three-bet on the button, Dustin Dirksen called in the big blind and Ryynanen came along to see the three-way flop of {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. All three players checked and the {7-Clubs} turn was checked to Ryynanen, who bet and received two calls.

The {J-Diamonds} on the river completed the board and Dirksen checked. Ryynanen bet once more and Martin, as well as Dirksen, called. The Finn showed {J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a full house and that scooped the three-way pot.

Hellmuth Eliminated by Elezra

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth lost a huge pot just before this hand and was left with right around 40,000.

Catching the action on the flop of {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts} action checked around to Hellmuth who bet. Eli Elezra raised and Ben Landowski folded. Helmuth then re-raised and the two players continued raising until all the money got in the middle.

"I have ace-jack buddy, if you have queens then nice hand," Elezra said.

"Jack is good," Hellmuth said.

Eli Elezra: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Phil Hellmuth: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {J-Clubs} came on the turn, ending matters quickly as Elezra made quads and the river was the {Q-Diamonds} which changed nothing. Elezra got up from the table and shook hands with Hellmuth who stood up from the table very frustratedly.

"Every fuckin' day they do this to me," Hellmuth said as he walked away from the table.
