Depa in Danger

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Jonathan Depa raised, Paul Volpe three-bet the cutoff, and Viacheslav Zhukov tanked briefly on the button.

"Tough spot," he said with a smile before putting his 75,000 in.

Eli Elezra called in the big blind and it went four ways to {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Depa bet and everyone called. On the {2-Hearts} turn, the same action repeated, and the river was a {k-Hearts}. Everyone checked.

Viacheslav Zhukov: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Eli Elezra: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Jonathan Depa: {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Paul Volpe: {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}

Depa totally bricked his wrap, and Zhukov and Volpe chopped the low with ace-four. Zhukov took the high half of the main with just kings and Elezra got some back in the side pot with king-jack.

Jonathan Depa Eliminated in 13th Place ($20,948)

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Jonathan Depa
Jonathan Depa

Paul Volpe raised under the gun and action folded around where Jonathan Depa called in the big blind.

The flop was {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Depa bet. Volpe raised and Depa called.

On the {5-Spades} turn, Depa moved all in for the rest of his chips and Volpe called.

Jonathan Depa: {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Paul Volpe: {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Spades}

Volpe turned the nut low and a straight but Depa was live to half the pot with a flush and straight draw. The river was the {8-Hearts}, though, which changed nothing and Depa was sent to the rail in 13th place to collected $20,948 for his run.

Steve Chanthabouasy Eliminated in 12th Place ($25,619)

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Steve Chanthabouasy
Steve Chanthabouasy

Steve Chanthabouasy lost a big chunk of chips to Dustin Dirksen when both players made trip aces on a board of {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and had the same kicker. Dirksen made a better low and took three-quarters of the pot, leaving Chanthabouasy short.

On the next hand, Viacheslav Zhukov opened with a raise from the cutoff. Chanthabouasy raised from the small blind. Action folded back to Zhukov and he called.

The flop was {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Chanthabouasy moved all in for the rest of his chips and Zhukov called.

Steve Chanthabouasy: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Viacheslav Zhukov: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}

The board completed with the {9-Clubs} and the {8-Hearts} and that mean that Zhukov had the best of it with his three tens. He took down the pot and sent Chanthabouasy to the payout desk in 12th place to collect $25,619.

Hildebrand Needs Heat

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Per Hildebrand opened under the gun and Jesse Martin defended big blind. The board ran out {4-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs} with Martin check-raising flop and barreling from there. Hildebrand tanked awhile on the end and called but couldn't beat {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for two pair.

Hildebrand has less than two big bets left.

Dirksen Scooped by Volpe

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Paul Volpe opened on the button and Dustin Dirksen called in the big blind.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Dirksen checked, then Volpe bet. Dirksen called.

"Tread carefully," Volpe said.

The turn was the {Q-Spades} and Dirksen check-called another bet from Volpe.

"Was that a loose call?" Volpe asked Dirksen.

"Nah," Dirksen responded. "It was just one of those calls."

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Dirksen check-called another bet.

"I got it," Volpe said showing {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the nut straight. He scooped the pot and cut Dirksen down to under 400,000 chips.

Martin on a Nub

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Jesse Martin defended his big blind from a Rob Mizrachi open and called down on {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Mizrachi opened {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} to win with aces up.

The next hand, Martin three-bet in the small blind when Kyle Miaso raised on the button. Catching action on the turn, the board read {5-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Martin check-called. He check-called again on the {k-Hearts} river and Miaso showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for fives full.

Martin mucked, and with the elimination at the other table, he's heading to the unofficial final table with just over a bet.

Mike Matusow

All of Mike Matusow's stack, which was about 100,000, got in the middle before the flop against Viacheslav Zhukov.

Mike Matusow: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}
Viacheslav Zhukov: {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} which put Matusow in a big hole.

"Well that's a good flop for you," Matusow said, getting up from his chair.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} ad the river was the {7-Clubs} and that was it for Matusow. He hit the rail in 11th place brining the remaining 10 players down to an unofficial final table.
