Cordell Rakes One In With a Turned Set

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Catching action on a flop board of {J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} with three players involved in the hand and Joey Fabre put out a bet of 225,000. Mike Cordell called from the cutoff while the third player in the hand folded.

The river was the {10-Hearts} and Fabre checked this time. Cordell put out a bet of 350,000 and Fabre didn't waste too long calling. Cordell showed {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and his turned set was good for him to scoop the pot.

"I didn't know you were calling," Cordell said after the hand to justify his play. "If I had known you were calling I would've never put another chip in the pot. But I thought I had him beat still."
