Kassela Loses to Stuve

Robert Stuve raised to 750 from late position and big blind Frank Kassela was the only player that called. The flop came down {3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Kassela check-called a bet of 1,300.

The turn was the {K-Clubs} and Kassela check-called again, but this time the bet was 2,000. The {J-Spades} river completed the board and Kassela check-called a final time. The bet was 3,000 and after Kassela called Stuve opened up {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for top set and Kassela let go of his hand.

Moracastro Gets Klick to Fold

Jared Klick, under the gun, limped. Action folded to Jose Moracastro, on the cutoff, who raised to 800. Klick called.

Players saw a flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Klick checked. Moracastro bet 1,000. Klick check-called. The turn came the {8-Spades}. Klick checked again. Moracastro continued for 2,000 and Klick called. The {7-Diamonds} river completed the board and Klick checked for a third time. Moracastro threw in a bet of 5,000 and Klick tank-folded.

''Good fold,'' commented Moracastro raking in the pot.

Aoki Chips Up

Mikiyo Aoki raised to 1,700 from the cutoff after two players had limped before her. Two players ended up calling and they saw the {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop come down.

Aoki continued with a bet of 3,000 when it folded to her. Both of her opponents called building a pot of over 12,000 chips already. The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and all the players involved in the hand checked this time to see the {A-Spades} river card. The first player checked, but the second fired out a bet of 4,500. Aoki raised to 15,000 and that was enough to take down the pot after everyone folded.

Berkey Builds Stack in Gold Section

Among the early big stacks in the gold section are Victor Ramdin, Matt Berkey, Christopher Andler, Josh Arieh and Marius Pospiech, while poker commentator David Tuchman is also in the mix right there.

Ramdin, Berkey and Pospiech happen to be on the same table and the latter two just got involved into a bigger pot. Berkey bet the {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop for 1,200 in middle position and Pospiech called from one seat over. On the {Q-Clubs} turn, Berkey bet 4,000 and Pospiech quickly called.

The {8-Clubs} river completed the board and Berkey made it 13,000 to go. Pospiech grabbed calling chips, checked his remaining stack and gave it some more thought before electing to fold.

Boudreau Wins One

The dealer spread a flop of {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Boudreau checked. His opponent bet 400. He check-called. The turn came the {5-Diamonds}. Boudreau checked. His opponent continued for 1,000. He check-called again. The {6-Clubs} filled up the river. This time, Boudreau led for 2,500. His opponent quickly folded.

Aymon Hata raised to 1,100 from middle position and Bruce Virga called from the big blind. They went heads-up to the {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and Virga led out with a bet of 2,500.

Hata called and the dealer burned and turned the {2-Diamonds}. Virga fired out a bet of 2,500 and Hata raised to 8,000. Virga quickly called and both players checked the {10-Diamonds} river.

Virga turned over his {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for deuces full of fives and Hata fired his hand face down into the muck.

Meng Tan Pulling Some Chips Back

Win Meng Tan has gotten off to a slow start, after losing a few pots he finally found the pot being slid in his direction.

An opponent from the hijack opened to 800 and Meng Tan three-bet to 2,400, his opponent called. The flop came down {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, action checked to Meng Tan who bet 1,800 and his opponent called.

The {3-Spades} was flipped over by the dealer on the turn, Meng Tan's opponent check-called a bet of 4,000 and the river fell the {2-Clubs}. Action was on Meng Tan who slammed in a bet of 13,000 and his opponent decided to muck his hand.

Bain Gets Paid

Tristan Bain opened to 700 from the cutoff. Robert Daniels, on the button, called, along with Lucas Fritz in the big blind.

The flop was {6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Bain bet 1,000, Daniels folded and Fritz called. The turn came the {8-Clubs} and was checked through to the {7-Hearts} river. Fritz fired 1,250, Bain raised to 5,400 and Fritz called. Bain tabled {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a straight and his opponent tossed his hand in the muck.
