Prizmic Martini Fighting Back

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Gregor Prizmic Martini just won a pot and is climbing back up to the 50,000 starting stack. After him and his two opponents checked on the {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} board, Prizmic Martini bet 3,400 in a 5,400 pot when the {3-Diamonds} river came down. Both his opponents folded and Prizmic Martini showed them {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} for a rivered set.

Despite winning this pot, Prizmic Martini is still down from the last time we walked by his table. He told us he lost a pre-flop all-in against a short stacked player with tens against aces.

Bernabeu Loses a Pot to Make his Table Happy

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

In a raised pot with a board showing {7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, the small blind player check-called a bet worth 2,000 from Samuel Bernabeu. The latter tabled {k-Hearts}{3-Clubs} but was dominated by his opponent's {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a better kicker.

The player in the small blind earned pulled in the pot saying: "He's able to lose a pot!", bringing chuckles from the rest of the table.

Even after losing that pot Samuel Bernabeu has now a huge stack worth 302,000.

Levy Puts Kagan to the Test

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

There was already close to 15,000 in the main pot on the {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and the three-handed action checked around. The turn was the {j-Clubs} and Chris Klodnicki checked. Uriel Remi Levy checked and Roman Kagan tossed out a bet of 15,100.

Klodnicki folded and Levy check-raised all in covering Kagan who had just over 25,000 behind. Kagan thought it over for about 15-seconds and folded and Levy took the pot without showdown.

Esposito Grabs Some Chips

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

A player opened to 1,200 and it was called by the player in the cutoff. John Esposito, situated in the big blind, raised it to 5,500 and after some consideration, both his opponents folded.

After taking down that pot, Esposito, whose bracelet win came in a $2,500 Limit Hold'em event back in 1999, padded out his short stack to 18,000.

Boatman Sails his Way to a Double

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

An early position player opened to 1,200, Peter Vitantonio called from late position and Jason Young called from the hijack. Barny Boatman moved all in from the button, action folded to Vitantonio who made the call and Young folded. The two remaining players flipped over their hands.

Barny Boatman: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Peter Vitantonio: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The flop was a disaster for Vitantonio as it fell {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{a-Spades}, giving Boatman a boat. The turn came the {k-Clubs} and the river fell the {2-Hearts}, changing nothing and securing a double for Boatman.

A player opened to 1,300 and Farah Galfond raised it to 3,700 from the cutoff. The small blind player called and so did the initial raiser.

The flop came {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and after her opponents checked, Galfond continued for 5,000. Only the small blind called. The turn brought a {a-Clubs} and both checked to see a {3-Spades} on the river. Galfond's opponent check-called a bet worth 8,000 and tossed his hand into the muck when Galfond showed {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Big Stacks and Notables In the Last Level (Amazon Room)

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Kevin Patel claimed the remaining stack of Lisa Buck and jumped into a big stack in the Amazon Orange, next to George Danzer, and the big stack in the Purple section belongs to Dan Colpys and Lee Markholt.

Over in the Tan section, it appears to be a race between Sergio Castelluccio and Rifat Palevic. Castelluccio is on the same table as Scott Stewart, who finished 13th in the 2017 WSOP Main Event.

Somerville Eliminated

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Jason Somerville and his opponent both checked on the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop. Somerville had only 12,000 left and his opponent had him well covered. The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and Somerville checked again. His opponent put in a bet of 2,500 and Somerville tossed all of his chips in the middle after some consideration. His opponent quickly called the remaining 10,000 and the cards went on their backs.

Somerville opened up {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for flopped trips and he was miles ahead of his opponent's {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}. The river was an unfortunate {Q-Diamonds} and that eliminated Somerville from the 2018 Main Event.
