Clark Sends Guilbert Deep Into the Tank

Level 16 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Johan Guilbert raised it up on the button and Zachary Clark stuck in a three-bet to 11,200. Guilbert called and they saw a flop of {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Clark led out for 12,100 and Guilbert called to see the {2-Hearts} on the turn.

Both players checked to the {3-Clubs} on the river and Clark moved all in for 57,800. Guilbert asked for a count and then went deep into the tank. It was well over five minutes and Clark hadn't moved a muscle. Finally, Guilbert dropped his cards in the muck and Clark dragged in the pot.

Boivin All But Jams Into Schemion

Level 15 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

The lead of Ole Schemion against Thomas Boivin has cut down after the Belgian scooped a vital pot. With 35,000 in the middle and the turn showing {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Boivin led for 19,000 and Schemion called.

The {k-Diamonds} fell on the river and Boivin now bet 53,100 with one T-100 chip behind.

"All in?" the dealer asked and Boivin shook his head.

Smith Defeats Rentzsch

Level 15 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

John Smith had already taken a solid lead when the final hand took place. On the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} turn, David Renztsch jammed into a bet of 15,000 by Smith and confidently rolled over {8-Spades}{5-Hearts} for two pair. Smith grabbed his cards and showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for top set, leaving his opponent drawing dead.

"Holy crap," Rentzsch uttered and then shook hands with his opponent. "Good game John," Rentzsch said and left the tournament area.

While the dealer sorted the chips," Smith simply said "that was brutal" and now awaits his next opponent in the round of 32.

Addamo Doubles Through Soverel to Close the Gap

Level 15 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Sam Soverel held a massive chip lead in his match with Michael Addamo but things have tightened up recently. Soverel raised the button and Addamo re-raised to 8,400 which Soverel called. The flop fell {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Addamo led out for 4,200 which Soverel called.

The turn brought the {9-Spades} and Addamo counted out another bet of 8,500. Soverel still called and the {6-Spades} completed the board. Addamo shipped all in for 27,400 and Soverel went into the tank for over three minutes before making the call.

Addamo tabled {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for the nut flush and Soverel mucked his cards. Addamo asked to see them and after sifting through the five marked cards, Soverel said he held {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.
