Yu and Tuhrim Setup a Round of 16 Matchup

Level 31 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Ben Yu
Ben Yu

Michael Song limped in on the button and Ben Yu raised it up to 25,000. Song called and they saw a flop of {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Yu checked and Song stuck in a bet of 25,000 which Yu called.

The turn brought the {2-Clubs} and Yu checked again. Song slid out a bet of 129,000, leaving just 800 chips behind. Yu announced all in and Song quickly called. Yu tabled {j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} which was leading Song's {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The river was the {j-Hearts} and Yu advanced to the next round.

At the same time, Richard Tuhrim and Ryan Hall got in a preflop raising war. Hall eventually found himself at risk for around 205,000 but was in bad shape.

Tuhrim flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} while Hall could only muster {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Tuhrim emerged victorious. He will line up against Yu when the Round of 16 begins tomorrow.

Schindler Closes the Gap

Level 31 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Jake Schindler was trailing by some margin and just scooped a bigger pot against Phil Hellmuth to claim the lead, only to lose the next medium-sized pot. However, the gap is now far smaller than it had been for quite some time.

Picking up the action on the {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, Hellmuth checked and called a bet of 6,000. Hellmuth checked blind and called another bet of 20,000 by Schindler on the {k-Hearts} turn before checking in the dark once more to the {a-Diamonds} river.

Schindler had barely put his bet in when Hellmuth already beat him into the pot. Schindler then rolled over {a-Spades}{6-Spades} for aces and sixes," and Hellmuth mucked.

"How much?" he asked and the bet was announced to be for 60,000.

"I should have just fuckin shoved the turn," Hellmuth added after he had jumped out of his chair and Schindler, with a dry voice, asked "I needed the river?"

Dambrosio Doubles Once More

Level 31 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Preflop, James Dambrosio and Sam Soverel invested 34,000 each to see the {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and Dambrosio instantly moved all in. Soverel gave it brief consideration and made the call.

James Dambrosio: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Sam Soverel: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Nothing changed with the {9-Hearts} turn and the {4-Clubs} river was a blank, too.

"Nice hand," Soverel said and Dambrosio replied with a "thanks man" as he doubled for 120,800 and into the lead.

Bicknell and Burns Close Out Their Matches

Level 31 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

At one table, Sergi Reixach was all in for his last 40,000 chips and called by Simon Burns. Reixach tabled {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} but ran into the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} of Burns. The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Reixach was drawing slim. The {8-Hearts} on the turn gave him a straight and flush draw but the {7-Diamonds} on the river bricked everything to send Burns forward into the next round.

Meanwhile, Kristen Bicknell had wrestled the chip lead away from Boris Kolev. It is unsure as to when all of the chips got in the middle but Bicknell held {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} on a board of {a-}{5-}{3-}{a-}{a-}. Kolev's cards were already in the muck and Bicknell will return tomorrow for the Round of 16.

Dambrosio Doubles

Level 30 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

James Dambrosio limped his button and Sam Soverel checked his option in the big blind.

They checked to the turn of a {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} board where Soverel bet 14,000. Dambrosio raised all in for 54,900 and Soverel tanked for a bit before he called with {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, trailing Dambrosio's {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Dambrosio doubled up.

Bicknell Establishes Commanding Lead Over Kolev

Level 30 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

In a three-bet pot to the {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} turn, Boris Kolev fired a second barrel worth 57,800 and Kristen Bicknell made the call. The {4-Diamonds} appeared on the river and Kolev checked, as did Bicknell. Kolev turned over {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Bicknell had that beat with the {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

Shortly after, Kolev bet the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop for 5,000 and Bicknell glanced at Kolev's stack before raising to 13,000. Kolev quickly folded and dropped below 100,000.

Eibinger Advances to Round of 16

Level 29 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Matthias Eibinger
Matthias Eibinger

Patrick Leonard got his stack of around 90,000 in preflop and Matthias Eibinger looked him up to create a classic coinflip.

Leonard revealed {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Eibinger had two over cards in {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

"There it is," Eibinger said when the flop came {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

"Gee gee," Leonard replied and saw the {10-Spades} turn and {10-Hearts} river improve Eibinger to quads.

"Let me take a picture, my friend," Leonard joked and took out his smartphone. Eibinger put on a big smile and thumbs up for the "winner shot."
