Wolf Makes Broadway in a Three-Way Pot

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Ronald Peterson was one of the short stacks coming back from the break and he wasted little time before moving all of his 140,000 chips into the middle from early position. Tomer Wolf called on his left as did Yin Liu in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and the action checked through to the {j-Hearts} on the turn and the {10-Hearts} on the river. Liu checked one more time and Wolf announced all in. Liu quickly folded and the remaining two hands were tabled.

Wolf turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a rivered straight while Peterson headed to the payout desk after showing {a-Spades}{4-Spades}.

Trey Brabham raised to 55,000 from under-the-gun, and was called by Marc Rijnbeek in middle position and Jennifer Tilly in her big blind. After Tilly checked the {5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, Brabham continued for 105,000 and Rijnbeek folded. Tilly then responded with a check-shove all in and was snap-called by Brabham.

Tilly tabled {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for two pair, but was behind the better two pair of Brabham, who was holding {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. The {6-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river were of no help to Tilly, sending the bracelet- and Oscar-winning actress to the payout line.

Johnson Eliminates Semin in the Blinds

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

The action folded around to Mikhail Semin in the small blind who shipped all in for around 180,000. Core Johnson gave it some thought from the big blind and eventually made the call to put Semin at risk.

Mikhail Semin: {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Core Johnson: {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

The flop came {j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Johnson's ace-high was still out front. The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and Semin was down to just six outs. The river was the {a-Diamonds} which only improved Johnson's hand and Semin was eliminated.

Legat Wakes Up with Jacks in the Big Blind

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

The action folded around to Veerab Zakarian in the small blind who shoved all in for his last 95,000 chips after having a tough start to the day. Simon Legat looked down at his cards in the big blind and quickly flicked in a chip to make the call.

Simon Legat: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Veerab Zakarian: {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The flop of {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} left Legat's pocket jacks in the lead. The {4-Spades} on the turn gave Zakarian a straight draw but the {4-Clubs} on the river was no help and Zakarian headed to the payout desk.

Gilerto Amaral: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Andrew Campbell: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Amaral won his race, keeping him alive in the tournament.
