Klodnicki Drops Some in Stud

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Stud

John Evans was the bring in with {2-Spades} and he called when Chris Klodnicki completed with the {q-Hearts}. Evans announced aces up, showing an ace among his hole cards. Klodnicki couldn't beat that.

Klodnicki: {x-}{x-}{x-} / {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

NLH

Chris Klodnicki opened from the cutoff to 55,000, Donny Rubinstein called on the button and Rami Boukai moved all in from the small blind. Klodnicki folded and Rubinstein snap-called for his remaining stack of about 650,000, players turned over their hands with Rubinstein at risk.

Donny Rubinstein: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Rami Boukai: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The dealer fanned out {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} on the flop and Boukai took a commanding lead. Rubinstein started to stand up as he awaited the runout. A {3-Clubs} fell as the turn card and Rubinstein needed a jack or he would be eliminated. The {7-Spades} hit the felt on the river, sending the pot to Boukai with his pair of kings and Rubinstein's fate was cemented as a sixth-place finish for $24,292.
