Confrontation Between Harwood and Gold

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Jamie Gold
Jamie Gold

The flop read {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} when Loni Harwood, in the big blind position, bet 2,000. Jamie Gold made the call from the button.

Things heated up when a {a-Diamonds} showed up on the turn. Harwood continued for 3,500 this time and faced a raise to 10,000 from Gold. Harwood decided to push all in with a slightly bigger stack than Gold, putting him to a decision.

"I have the second nuts!" said Gold, adding "Am I good enough to fold here? I don't think I am". After a minute he ended up calling, revealing {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Harwood tabled {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a lower flush. "I wasn't slow rolling you," told Gold, "I really had a decision here". A {2-Diamonds} completed the board and Gold grabbed the massive pot while Harwood was left with around 3,000.

Wigg Down to Scraps but Doubles

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Anton Wigg in a previous event
Anton Wigg in a previous event

Anton Wigg was down to just 1,200 when he managed to get a shove through from the cutoff to now play a stack of 1,800.

''The under-the-gun player raised to 700 and another player called in middle position. I called with pocket sevens from the small blind and the big blind called as well."

"The flop then came eight-seven-deuce with two diamonds. It checked to the button and he bet 1,600. I just called and the gentleman under the gun three-bet. I got all my money in with my set of sevens but he had a set of eights and now about 100,000.''

While Wigg was telling how he lost most of his stack he got it in with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} against the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} of a player at his table.

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Wigg managed to secure a double up to stay in the game. He now has 15 big blinds which he can still spin up with the amazing structure.

Lampropulos Versus Polychronopoulos

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Tony Miles and Daniel Rezaei's table keeps getting filled with familiar faces. They were already joined by Athanasios Polychronopoulos and Danny Tang but the latest addition to the line-up is Maria Lampropulos.

Lampropulos and Polychronopoulos were battling it out in a hand where there was over 9,000 in the pot and a board on the table looking like {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Lampropulos sat in the small blind and she was up first and bet 6,000. Polychronopoulos looked like he didn't even have a decision to make and he snap-folded {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} face up.

Kebe's Bluff Fails

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Jimmy Kebe defended his big blind when he saw a player open from middle position to 800. Kebe called to see the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop and he check-called another bet.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was the {3-Clubs} and Kebe went for the check-raise. His opponent bet 2,700 and Kebe immediately raised to 9,500.

It didn't take too long for his opponent to call and Kebe opened up {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for second pair but that wasn't enough to win the pot against the {k-Spades}{10-Spades} of his opponent.
