"Don't Call Me a Nit"

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Joseph Liberta raised to 13,000 from the hijack and the player in the cutoff called. Igor Pinheiro three-bet to 45,000 from the button. Francis Anderson decided to shove in the big blind for 410,000 in total, Liberta and the cutoff quickly folded but Pinheiro needed some more time to contemplate what to do. After a while in the tank, Pinheiro opted to fold.

"You made a really good fold!" Anderson commented before flipping over {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}.

The whole table looked on in shock.

"What? He called me a nit!" Anderson justified the move. "I'm a New Yorker, don't call me a nit! I just shoved 65 big blinds with king-high!"

The whole table but Pinheiro all guffawed at what had just happened.

Liberta Makes the Right Call

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Joseph Liberta raised to 10,000 from under the gun and action folded to Ryan Leng in the big blind who called.

Leng then check-called the 10,000 continuation-bet of Liberta on the {3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop to see the {2-Clubs} on the turn. Both players checked for the {3-Spades} to complete the board. Leng fired a bet of 40,000 out and Liberta made the call after considering it for a while.
