Obreshkov Can't Get Past Busquet

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Stoyan Obreshkov
Stoyan Obreshkov

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and around 55,000 in the middle, the action was on Olivier Busquet in the cutoff. Busquet tossed in a bet of 27,000 and Stoyan Obreshkov called from the big blind.

The {j-Spades} landed on the river and Obreshkov moved all in for 69,500. Busquet asked for a count and pondered for a moment before making the call. Obreshkov tabled {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} while Busquet tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for two pair to claim the pot.

"Good call," Obreshkov said as he wished the table good luck as well.

"I had a key card," Busquet replied showing off the {q-Spades}.

Park Doubles Through Schiff

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The player in the under-the-gun position raised to 11,000 and Daniel Park shoved for 75,500 from the hijack. Action folded to Emile Schiff in the big blind who also decided to shove with the bigger stack. The initial raiser folded, claiming to have the winning hand.

Daniel Park: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Emile Shiff: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} for Park to flop the set to stay alive and double up.

"Guess I didn't have the winning hand," the initial raiser commented.

Fernandez Wins a Big Flip

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Sergio Fernandez
Sergio Fernandez

Johan Schumacher opened from early position and Sergio Fernandez stuck in a three-bet from the small blind. Schumacher four-bet ripped all in for 195,000 and Fernandez went into the tank for a couple of minutes before making the call.

Sergio Fernandez: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Johan Schumacher: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

It was a coin flip with around 400,000 up for grabs. The flop came {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Fernandez remained in the lead with his pair of jacks. The {5-Hearts} on the turn was no help to Schumacher and the {j-Hearts} on the river gave Fernandez a full house for good measure.

O'Hara Takes Shade Out

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Peter Hong raised to 8,000 from mid-position and Ian O'Hara raised to 22,000 on the button. Edward Shade called for his last 10,500 in the big blind and Hong called.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, Hong check-called the 15,000 continuation-bet of O'Hara.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Hong checked again. O'Hara now shoved for Hong to snap-fold so the cards could go on their backs.

Edward Shade: {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Ian O'Hara: {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

O'Hara had flopped two pair and Shade was drawing dead.

The board was completed with the {a-Spades} for O'Hara to improve to a full house to Shade out of the Marathon.
