Ho Holds for Big Double in Three-Way All-in

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Thanks to Barry Greenstein for filling in the preflop action: Bill Stabler, nursing 400,000 and moving all in regularly, uncalled, moved all in preflop again. Patrick [Removed:349], in Seat 1, didn't notice, and threw in 100,000, then 400,000 when he was made to call. Over to Alan Ho, who shipped in 910,000 over the top only to see his left hand side neighbour Ivo Donev move all-in himself for more than Ho's bet.

[Removed:349] got out of the way.

Stabler: {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Ho: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Donev: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board: {q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Stabler busted and Donev had to count out two thirds of his stack and hand it to Ho.

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Howard Mash
Howard Mash

Howard Mash continues to stay atop the chip leaderboard, and he keeps getting just the right cards to do so.

Mash played a three-way pot against Jeffery Bond and Joseph Pizzuto, firing a bet for 250,000 when both players checked to him on the {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop. The bet got folds out of both opponents, and Mash showed {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} for top pair.

"I always have it!" Mash said.

Wolpert Shows Martin the Aces

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Anthony Martin checked to Mark Wolpert on the turn, and Wolpert fired a 300,000-chip bet, with the board showing {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Martin thought it over for a bit before folding, and the pot brought Wolpert up to the 1.37 million mark. Wolpert showed {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and it appeared that Martin made the correct fold.

Abbott Performs Double Elimination

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

A flop of {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} amalgamated two shorter stacks with that of Granville Abbott to boost him to 1,550,000 in chips and cause his table to instantly break.

C. Atkins was one of those all-in and covered, Patrick Hendricks the other, with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} respectively. Abbott held an overpair: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The turn and river ran out {3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} prompting two visits to the cash desk to collect $4,343 and one shout of, "Yeeeah! Now I'm up with you!"

"You" encompasses all above-averagely stacked players with the average now just over 1.1 million.

Ulman Spikes a Stack-Saving Ace

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Joseph Ulman, having dropped dramatically in chips recently, has been all in and at risk - and survived. He moved all in under the gun for 309,000; a mid-position Keith Littlewood flat called. On their backs:

Littlewood: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Ulman: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The flop was an overpair-safe, low and rainbow {4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} but the turn was the {a-Diamonds}, river {3-Hearts}. Ulman doubled and Littlewood dropped to 1,120,000. Those chips went all-in as an open shove the very next hand, but found no callers.

Chip counts include the whole table.

Six Million for Mash

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Howard Mash
Howard Mash

Howard Mash has just taken outright possession of the chip lead, busting out Kenneth Goldstein and another opponent in consecutive hands.

Mash said the first hand involved his {a-}{a-} against Goldstein's {q-}{q-}, taking all of Goldstein's 1.6 million chips.

On the next hand, Mash got to the flop with {6-}{6-} and the board came out {q-}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}. Goldstein and his opponent went back and forth with raises on the flop until all of the opponent's chips were in, and the at-risk player showed {a-Spades}{9-Spades}. The flush came in on the river, but so did the full house for Mash with the {q-Spades}.

Mash now sits at 6,000,000 as Day 3 approaches the end of Level 24.
