Abdalla Eliminated by Sternheimer

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Jake Abdalla
Jake Abdalla

Omaha Hi-Lo

With the board reading {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, a short-stacked Jake Abdalla got the rest of his chips in from the cutoff with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} for sixes full of deuces. However, Philip Sternheimer held {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} for nines full of sixes with the nut low draw in the small blind.

The river was the {4-Hearts}, no help to Abdalla, locking up the pot for Sternheimer.

Johnson Squeezes Out a Double

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Marco Johnson had been all in for around 17,000 or so by the time the action was picked up. Matthew Schreiber patted the last draw and Johnson needed one. Schreiber opened {10-}{8-}{6-}{3-}{2-} and Johnson showed a wheel draw with {7-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

"Oh, you're in bad shape," Johnson said after peeling his card. He saw the spots and figured that he hit a card ranking from five through a ten.

It was a ten and Johnson faded to pair his seven to finish with a stronger hand than Schreiber. Johnson has a little breathing room after his double, but he remains below the starting stack.
