Ace On The River

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

There was three-way all in preflop action between Peter Giordano, Bob Buckenmayer and Michael Halford, with Halford having more chips than Buckenmayer but both were at risk.

Bob Buckenmayer: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Peter Giordano: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Michael Halford: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop was good for Giordano as he just needed to dodge an ace.

The turn came the {5-Spades} and Giordano just had one more card to come before he had a double elimination.

But, the {a-Diamonds} fell on the river giving Buckenmayer a triple up with top two-pair, and Giordano shipped 17,700 to Halford.

Kings Are Good for Brody Against Woods

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

On a {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop Alexander Brody bet 11,000 and James Woods called on the button.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Brody check-called 18,000.

The river was the {j-Spades}. Brody checked and Woods turned over {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} checking behind. Brody showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and kings were good enough to take down the pot.

Hartman Eliminated By Richards

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Joseph Richards opened from middle position with a raise to 4,000 and Joseph Hartman three-bet to 8,000. Action folded back around to Richards who moved all in for 55,000 and Hartman called for less.

Joseph Richards: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Joseph Hartman: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Hartman was in desperate need of help but couldn't catch anything as the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Chong Rivers Opponent

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Wes Chong moved all in on a board showing {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. With a pot already over 40,000, his opponent committed his remaining 10,000 stack and made the call.

Wes Chong: {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Chong's opponent made a hero call for his remaining chips but unfortunately for him, Chong hit one of his outs on the river as it came the {j-Hearts} and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Heart Still Pounding for Joseph

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

"I should go on break early," said Timothy Joseph stacking his chips. "My heart's still pounding!"

Joseph had moved up to 300,000 after calling an opponent's raise pre-flop and calling his shove for 80,000 on a low flop. His opponent held sevens and they were no match for Joseph's queens which held to move him up the chip counts.

Joseph, who hails from Vegas, came into the day with 160,000 chips and has almost doubled his stack two levels into the day.

Bailey Down on the Day

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Start-of-day chip leader Charlies Bailey came into the day with in excess of 300,000 but has dwindled after just over a level and a half.

After four limpers saw a flop of {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} the player in the big blind bet 4,000. Bailey was the only caller. The big blind check-folded to a bet of 14,000 from Bailey on the {3-Clubs} turn and he took down the pot.

He sits on around 250,000 in chips.
