Straight for Schreiber

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Matthew Schreiber raised to 5,000 from middle position, and the player in the big blind three-bet to 16,000.

Schreiber called, and on the {5-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Spades} flop, he called a continuation-bet of 12,000.

The turn fell the {2-Spades}, and now the big blind checked. Schreiber bet 24,000 and his opponent called before the {k-Hearts} checked through on the river.

Schreiber tabled his {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a straight, and his opponent mucked.

Joni Jouhkimainen
Joni Jouhkimainen

It all started rather innocent with a raise to 5,500 in the cutoff by James Chen and a call by Joni Jouhkimainen in the big blind. What followed were three barrels by Chen on the {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop for 7,000, on the {j-Spades} turn for 20,000 and {8-Diamonds} river for 70,000. Jouhkimainen check-called the first two bets and check-raised to 205,000 after the final bet to force a fold from Chen.

Add On for Zinno

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Five players invested 8,000 each to see the {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop including Anthony Zinno in the cutoff and Iaroslav Boiko on the button. They all checked through to the {10-Hearts} turn and the action checked to Zinno, who bet 12,000. Only the big blind called, then checked again the {2-Clubs} river. Zinno bet 26,000 and that won the pot uncontested after a fold from his opponent.

Beylin Doubles Through Tsang

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 0 ante

On a flop of {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Konstantin Beylin ended up all in at at risk with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Anson Tsang made the call with {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flopped straight and inferior diamond draw. The {3-Hearts} turn changed nothing yet, however, the {3-Diamonds} on the river improved Beylin to the nut flush and he sat back down.
