Snead Doubles Through Deeb in Massive Pot

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Sam Snead
Sam Snead

In the last hand before dinner, a big three-way pot emerged with more than 240,000 in and the turn showing {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Sam Snead had bet 125,000 out of the small blind and Shaun Deeb moved all in for more than 600,000, which eventually forced out big stack Tyler Smith.

Snead, however, made the call for his last 431,000 and the cards were turned over.

Sam Snead: {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Shaun Deeb: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Deeb's two pair and flush draw were live as Snead had turned a five-high straight. The {6-Hearts} river improved Snead to a flush and Deeb took a massive hit to his stack.

"I play this crap hand and get rewarded," Snead said in table chat and Deeb tapped the table with the words "good hand boss."

Epstein Doubles Polk

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Soon after coming back from the dinner break, Jordan Polk ended up all in with the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} against the {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} of Alex Epstein.

They got it in after the {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, on which Epstein had to pay just a few big blinds with his flush draw. The {3-Spades} turn and {6-Diamonds} river kept Polk in the lead with his set, and it put just a minor dent into the big stack of Epstein.

Astedt Over a Million With Wolff Elimination

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Niklas Astedt
Niklas Astedt

On a flop of {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades} George Wolff had moved all in and was called by another player. Niklas Astedt was on the button and called.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds}. It checked to Astedt who moved all in, forcing the other player out of the hand.

George Wolff: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Niklas Astedt: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Astedt's trips held to eliminate Wolff.

"It was stupid all the way," said Astedt. "Pre-flop? Couldn't fold. On the flop? Couldn't fold..."

Galland More Than Doubles

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Benoit Galland
Benoit Galland

Toby Lewis won two big pots off Robert Mizrachi and Evan Krentzman to jump above one million in chips and Benoit Galland just did so in a three-way all in. It started with a cutoff raise by Kahle Burns and Galland stuck around from the button. Leif Force jammed for 162,000 in the big blind and Burns isolated with a reshove only for Galland to snap-call.

Leif Force: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Benoit Galland: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Kahle Burns: {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}

"Damn, I was trying to get heads-up," Burns sighed when he found himself up against the aces of Galland as well.

Force was already out of his seat and had grabbed his belongings, but then saw the flop come {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. "That's a good start dealer," Force added, only to brick off on the {8-Clubs} turn and {j-Hearts} river. Burns lost both pots, as Galland also doubled through him for 271,000 on top.

Bujtas Forces Fold From Martini

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

In a three-bet pot to the {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Julien Martini in the cutoff check-called a bet worth 100,000 by Laszlo Bujtas on the button to see the {j-Diamonds} on the turn and Martini checked once more. Bujtas cut out a bet of nearly 500,000 and Martini folded.

Soon after, Martini lost a small pot to Matt Giannetti and dropped below the million mark in chips.

Volpe and Sadou Get Told Off

Level 17 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Blind on blind Paul Volpe bet 12,000 on a {4-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and Firas Sadou snap-called. As Volpe eyed his opponent on the {8-Diamonds} turn but the pair checked.

The river was the {a-Clubs}. Volpe checked and Firas Sadou bet 15,000.

Volpe took his time and the pair started chatting.

"Two pair," said Sadou.

"You cannot discuss the hand gentleman," said the dealer admonishingly.

"So if he turns over two pair now he gets thrown out of the tournament?" said Volpe.

"It would be really sick if you raised now," said Sadou.

Eventually, Volpe called and was shown {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for two pair.

"Does he get a penalty now?" said Volpe jokingly.

"What, because I had two pair?" replied Sadou.
