Drummond Latest Elimination

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Michael Drummond
Michael Drummond

Wasim Korkis raised pot under the gun and Michael Drummond three-bet all in from the button. The blinds folded and Korkis called.

Michael Drummond: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Wasim Korkis: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The {5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} was good for Drummond, giving him top set, but the {10-Spades} turn gave Korkis the nut straight. Drummond would need the board to pair, but the river was the {9-Hearts} and he was eliminated.

Chen and Tsang Even in Chips

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Three-way with 130,000 each invested, the three biggest stacks at the start of Day 3 headed to a flop of {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Anson Tsang checked in the small blind, as did Firas Sadou first to act. James Chen from one seat over bet 300,000 and Tsang folded, Sadou called. The {6-Spades} turn was checked and the {4-Diamonds} river brought a check-fold of Sadou.

Astedt Eliminates Riordan

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
John Riordan
John Riordan

Niklas Astedt opened to 60,000 on the button and John Riordan three-bet to 195,000. Astedt moved all in and Riordan called for his last 50,000 or so chips.

Niklas Astedt: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
John Riordan: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

"Oh no," said Riordan as he surveyed his opponent's hand. The flop was {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} giving Astedt top pair. The turn was the {k-Spades} and Riordan clapped his hands together in apparent excitement.

The river, however, was the {2-Clubs} and he was eliminated.

Hachem Eliminated by Guerra

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem

In the first hand of the day, Joe Hachem got his stack in from late position and he was called by Lautaro Guerra on the button.

Joe Hachem: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Lautaro Guerra: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The {j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop gave the former WSOP Main Event champion and Aussie Poker Hall of Famer a flush draw, but the {j-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river provided no help. Hachem became the first casualty of the day and takes home $37,365.

Tsang Leads the Way on Day 3 of the $25,000 PLO High Roller

Just 39 players remain in the $25,000 Pot-limit Omaha High Roller at the 2019 WSOP with the tournament playing down to a final table of six players across today's action.

Last year, the 2018 PLO High Roller saw seven levels take play in order to whittle 35 players down to a final table, so expect a similarly intriguing day of four-card drama today.

Leading the field at the start of play is 2018 WSOP Europe bracelet winner Anson Tsang who was one of two players to bag over four million chips. He is followed in the counts by James Chen, who is still looking for his first WSOP bracelet. Also still in the running is the only player still standing from last year's final table Ryan Tosoc, who finished in sixth place last time out. Tosoc will be looking to go deep and secure a place at the final table for the second year running.

Interestingly, those three men share a table today, with Paul Volpe also in their company. Whoever emerges as the leader from that table is sure to have a great chance of winning the tournament outright.

As is to be expected, there are plenty of big names eyeing up the prestigious title and over $1.6m in prize money for first place. They include Robert Mizrachi, Erik Seidel and all-time money list leader Justin Bonomo.

Play resumes at 2 p.m. here at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and PokerNews will be on hand to provide you with all the live updates throughout the day as we find out which six players will make up the final table for this prestigious event.
