Dzmitry Urbanovich

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Bring-In Player: {x-}{x-} / {2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} / {x-} (folded on seventh)
Jay Hong: {x-}{x-} / {3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs} / {x-} (folded on seventh)

Gerard Rechnitzer: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Hearts} (folded on fifth)
Marco Johnson: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} (folded on fifth)

A player was the bring in with a deuce and Jay Hong, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Gerard Rechnitzer, and Marco Johnson all called. All players checked on fourth street.

With a pair of nines, Urbanovich led on fifth and Rechnitzer and Johnson folded. The player who brought in and Hong both called.

Urbanovich led again on sixth with queens up showing and both players called. On seventh, Urbanovich fired once more and both remaining players folded as he took down the pot, adding nicely to his stack sans showdown.

Long Leaves Smethurst With Crumbs

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Daniel Smethurst: {x-}{x-} / {5-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} / {x-}
Philip Long: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {x-}

Smethurst brought it in with the {5-Hearts}, Long completed, and Smethurst was the only caller. Long had the betting lead all the way and bet every street, which was called by Smethurst.

Long rolled over {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} for tens and sixes without a low. Smethurst mucked and was left with just 9,000.

Jon Turner
Jon Turner

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Jon Turner was on the button in a hand versus an opponent in the hijack on a board reading {3-Spades}{q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

Turner's opponent checked to him and he put in a bet. He received a call and the river came {3-Spades}. With action checked to him, Turner fired another barrel and his opponent thought for a few seconds before mucking.

With the pot, Turner now finds himself with a mountain of chips in front of him totaling approximately 115,000.

Hackett Takes From Mizrachi

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

With a board reading {3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} Michael Mizrachi raised a bet from Patrick Hackett on the river and Hackett called. Mizrachi turned over the {8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}. Hackett did not immediately show his hand, instead focused on how much more to put into the pot.

"Just show your hand, I'm sure you're getting at least half" said tablemate Shaun Deeb. And indeed Hackett was getting more than that as he showed the {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} to secure 3/4 of the pot.

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Down to his last 8,800, Philip Long was all in preflop from the big blind versus Cyndy Violette in the small blind.

Philip Long: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Cyndy Violette: {8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Long's trip threes were good to secure the double and stay alive.
