Waxman Survives as Bierria Bubbles $1,500 Razz

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Amnon Filippi: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{6-}{9-}
Matt Waxman: {x-}{x-} / {10-}{6-}{q-} - folded on fifth street

Matt Waxman called a bet on fourth street and was pondering another bet on fifth street that would put him all in.

"I'm probably supposed to," he said but eventually he folded.

Unbeknownst to him there was another all-in in progress.

Timothy Woodward: {x-}{x-} / {6-}{3-}{q-}{7-} / {x-}
Corey Bierria: {x-}{x-} / {j-}{4-}{5-}{5-} / {x-}
Jan Bendik: {x-}{x-} / {2-}{5-}{10-}{2-} - folded on sixth street

Corey Bierria was all in on fourth street with Timothy Woodward and Jan Bendik still active. Woodward bet on fourth street and Bendik called. The pair checked fifth street and Woodward's bet on sixth street pushed Bendik out of the pot.

"I'm out," said Bierria showing {10-}{3-} for a made jack-low. Woodward showed {a-}{4-} for a made seven and had Bierria drawing dead.

Woodward drew a {6-} and Bierria a {3-} to double pair and he was eliminated, bubbling the $1,500 Razz. The remaining 55 players are all in the money.

Jay Kwon: {x-}{x-} / {2-}{10-}{q-}{5-} - folded on sixth street
Matt Grapenthien: {x-}{x-} / {2-}{5-}{j-}{4-} / {x-}
Matt Waxman: {x-}{x-} / {7-}{5-}{k-}{9-} / {x-}

Matt Grapenthien bet on fifth street and got two calls. He bet again on sixth street and Waxman was the only caller, with Jay Kwon folding. Grapenthien bet on the end with Waxman all in if he called.

With players from other tables approaching to rail the final action, Waxman said "You can go sit down now," as he folded with 5,000 behind.

He doubled on the very next hand through Jay Kwon:

Matt Waxman: {a-}{7-} / {4-}{k-}{2-}{6-} / {2-}
Jay Kwon: {8-}{5-} / {4-}{5-}{9-}{j-} / {3-}

Filippi Doubles Through Grapenthien

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Amnon Filippi: {4-}{5-} / {a-}{5-}{j-}{9-} / {x-}
Matt Grapenthien: {4-}{10-} / {a-}{6-}{6-}{j-} / {x-}

Amnon Filippi bet on fourth street and Matt Grapenthien called. Both players checked fifth street and Filippi bet again on sixth street. Grapenthien thought for a while before raising and Filippi called and was all in.

Filippi had made a jack-nine against the jack-ten of Grapenthien. Grapenthien drew a {10-} on the end as Filippi improved to a nine with a {2-} to double up.

Big Stacks and Eliminations as Bubble Approaches

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The tournament clock shows 59 players remaining with 55 of them guaranteed $2,247. Scott Clements has had a storming level so far, as has Adam Owen. However, it appears that tablemate Andres Norbe Korn has trimmed the Brit's stack somewhat which was up to 200,000.
