Yockey Makes Queens Full

Level 15 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Stud

Bryce Yockey: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} / {x-}
Luke Schwartz: {x-}{x-} / {k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} / {x-}

The {2-Hearts} was the bring in. Yockey completed his four and Schwartz made it two bets with a king. Action folded back to Yockey and he made the call. Schwartz continued on fourth and Yockey called.

On fifth, Schwartz bet again and Yockey raised. Schwartz called and proceeded to check-call bets on sixth and seventh streets.

Baker Done in by Mercier and Shakerchi; Mackie Gone

Level 15 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
David "ODB" Baker
David "ODB" Baker

Omaha Hi-Lo

David "ODB" Baker raised from the small blind, and Jason Mercier called in the big blind.

Baker bet a {5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, and Mercier raised. Baker called.

Baker checked the {10-Clubs} turn, and Mercier bet his last 40,000. Baker grimaced but eventually made the call, leaving himself just 20,000 behind.

Jason Mercier: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
David "ODB" Baker: {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{x-}{x-}

"I need an ace," Baker said while showing just the three-deuce from his hand. The {k-Spades} river meant Mercier doubled through Baker with the nut flush, and the very next hand, Shakerchi made a seventy-five in Razz to bust Baker. Just before those hands, Robert Mackie was seen exiting the tournament area.

The turn came {2-Hearts} and Sammartino checked. Bleznick put out a bet of 25,000 and Sammartino called. The river came {a-Clubs} and Sammartino checked again. Bleznick fired once more, this time for 100,000. After a little over a minute, Sammartino decided to look him up.

Hui checked fifth street with three to a royal flush hitting his board, and Haxton slowed down with a check back. A fourth club hit Hui's hand and he bet sixth street, shutting Haxton down.

2-7 Triple Draw

Lyle Berman and John Hennigan capped it before the first draw, with Berman saying, "We're gamblin' now!" before calling the fifth bet.

Esposito Chops Two In a Row

Level 15 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Adam Friedman opened from the hijack at a five-handed table and John Esposito defended from the big blind. The two went heads up to a flop of {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Esposito check-called Friedman's continuation-bet and the turn came {8-Diamonds}. Both players checked, bringing the river {8-Spades}. Esposito checked and Friedman fired. After some time counting his stack and thinking about his decision, Esposito made the call.

"Nine," Friedman said as he tabled {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Esposito quickly turned over {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} to lock in chop number one.

On the very next hand, John Monnette opened from the button and Esposito three-bet in the small blind. Monnette called and the flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Esposito continued and Monnette called. Both players then checked through the {3-Spades} turn and {4-Spades} river to get to showdown.

Esposito tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades} and Monnette {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and the two chopped up the pot.

Brown Takes a Chunk From Mercier

Level 15 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Andrew Brown raised to 26,000 from the cutoff, and Jason Mercier called in the big blind.

Both players checked the {3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, and Mercier checked the {2-Spades} turn. Brown bet 36,000, and Mercier check-raised to 101,000.

"What do you got, about three-hundred more?" Brown asked Mercier, who replied, "About that." Brown called.

Mercier checked the {8-Diamonds} river, and Brown bet 160,000, a little over half of Mercier's remaining stack. Mercier called, only to muck after being shown Brown's {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.
