Level 15 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Timofey Kuznetsov
Timofey Kuznetsov

Limit Hold'em

Timofey Kuznetsov opened from the hijack and David Oppenheim three-bet from the cutoff. Action folded back to Kuznetsov and he made the call, bringing a flop of {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Kuznetsov checked and Oppenheim made a continuation-bet. Kuznetsov called.

The turn came {2-Clubs} and Kuznetsov checked. Oppenheim continued again and Kuznetsov put in a check-raise. Oppenheim quickly folded and Kuznetsov took down the pot.

Oppenheim Over the 2-Million Mark

Level 15 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

David Oppenheim just dragged at 400k-plus pot, becoming the first player on the day to eclipse 2 million chips.

On a {3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board, Timofey Kuznetsov bet 140,000 from the hijack and Oppenheim called from the cutoff, bringing forth the {7-Spades} river.

Kuznetsov checked, and Oppenheim contemplated his next move for a couple of minutes before deciding on a check back. Oppenheim turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Kuznetsov mucked.

Martin Ousted by Friedman; Glick Falls

Level 15 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Jesse Martin
Jesse Martin

Razz

After the {k-} brought it in, Adam Friedman completed with the {2-}, and Jesse Martin put his last 27,000 in with the {4-}. Action folded back to Friedman, who called.

"I only looked at one card," Friedman said before turning up a pair of sevens in his hand. Martin was paired as well with split fours. After sixth street, their boards were as follows:

Adam Friedman: {7-}{7-} / {2-}{3-}{5-}{q-} / {x-}
Jesse Martin: {4-}{3-} / {4-}{j-}{5-}{j-} / {x-}

Friedman turned his seventh street card over first, and the {10-} left Martin drawing dead before he could even turn his {3-} over. Michael Glick followed him out the door a short time later.

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Matthew Ashton
Matthew Ashton

Pot-Limit Omaha

Matthew Ashton raised to 28,000 from the hijack, then called off his last 76,000 after Shaun Deeb potted it in the big blind.

Matthew Ashton: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Shaun Deeb: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Ashton's jacks held on the {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop and {6-Diamonds} turn, but his hopes for a second Poker Player's Championship bracelet were dashed when Deeb binked the {k-Hearts} river.

Vitch Takes Down Pot On Turn

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

There was around 50,000 in the pot in a three-way pot between Dan Cates in the big blind, Josh Arieh in the cutoff, and Chris Vitch on the button. The flop was {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Cates checked to Arieh, who bet 26,000. Both Vitch and Cates called.

The turn came {2-Hearts} and Cates and Arieh both checked. Vitch put in a bet of 125,000 which was good to get folds out of Cates and Arieh en route to taking down the pot.

Benyamine Leaves Ashton Short

Level 14 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Razz

Matthew Ashton: {x-}{x-}/{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} (folded on sixth street)
David Benyamine: {x-}{x-}/{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{k-Hearts}

With what appeared to be about eight big bets already in the middle, Matthew Ashton put out a bet on sixth street, and David Benyamine raised. Ashton took a few moments to contemplate before folding, and the loss puts him dangerously low on chips.
