Confusion Preflop Leads to a Three-Way All In

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Ari Engel
Ari Engel

The floor had been called over to a table in Brasilia. What it transpired had happened, was that David Hong had moved all in for 53,000 and Ari Engel had flatted on his left. It folded round to the small blind who asked how much the bet was and the dealer replied "53." The player put in 5,300 and the floor was called to clear up the situation. The floor ruled the call stood and the player made up the difference. With three in the main pot, the dealer placed {7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts} on the flop.

The small blind checked and Engel put just 11,000 over the line, which was called. On the {3-Spades} turn the small blind lead for 85,000, which left just 5,000 behind. Engel looked bemused whilst he mulled it over and counted out his chips. After a minute or so in the tank, he moved all in for 87,500. It was called and the cards were turned over.

Ari Engel: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
David Hong: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {7-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Hong was ahead for the main pot with a pair of aces, meanwhile, Engel was ahead with pocket-queens to a pair of sevens. Nothing untoward happened on the {6-Diamonds} river and Hong and Engel both improved their stacks as the result.

After a min-click preflop by Danut Chisu on the button, a flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} brought fireworks as Chisu and another player from Romania in the under-the-gun position ended up all in and Cheng Xiong looked them up with the superior stack.

Danut Chisu: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Under-the-gun player: {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Cheng Xiong: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The {j-Clubs} turn was a blank, but Xiong got there on the {10-Clubs} river to score a double knockout.

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Pope and Herzali Thriving

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Alexander Pope called the shove of a shorter stack for 22,200 and sighed when he found himself behind with the kicker, holding {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} versus {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. The board came {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Pope flopped a ten to add to his growing stack.

In the same section in Amazon Gold, Sarah Herzali has also increased her stack without showdown after her bet on the river of a board {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} found no caller.
