Liperis Gets Value

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

With 12,000 already in the pot, two players went to a flop of {10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. The player in the small blind put out a bet of 4,000, Yiannis Liperis made the call from middle position.

The turn card came the {8-Spades}. Action checked to Liperis who bet 5,000 and got called.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board on the river and action once again checked to Liperis who bet 20,000. His opponent made the call and Liperis showed him the {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} which was good enough to take down the pot.

Papazian Gives Up on the Turn

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

With three-way action on the {5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop, Alexandru Papazian checked from the big blind and so did a player behind him before the third player fired 2,700 from the middle position. Papazian check-raised to 6,900 and the second player called while the other player opted to bet-fold.

The {4-Clubs} filled the flush draw and Papazian check-folded to a bet of 10,000.

"Worst turn for you," somebody at the table observed.

"It happens," Papazian replied.

Meanwhile, Michael Mizrachi's stack plummeted within the first minutes of his appearance.

Demlakian Correctly Hero Calls the River

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

With four players in the hand and 30,000 in pot, the player under the gun bet 11,000 on a board reading {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Ken Demlakian directly to his left called and the two remaining players behind folded.

The river was the {q-Clubs} and the player first to act went all in for 21,500. Demlakian tossed in a call and was shown {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for eight-high. Demlakian flipped over {7-}{7-} and took down the pot.

Mizrachi In, Van Zadelhoff Out

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Michael Mizrachi just took his seat in the Little One for One Drop, joining the 1,400-strong flight 1b.

Meanwhile, Steven van Zadelhoff lost his first shell, spending only 20 minutes at the table.

Van Zadelhoff got his chips in with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and he was in a good spot against {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, but an ace on the flop pushed the pot towards his opponent.

Powers Rivers Big Double

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Jacob Powers
Jacob Powers

Jake Powers was in the small blind, putting in his remaining 53,100 on the {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} turn. The shove was slightly bigger than the size of the pot and Powers' left-hand neighbor faced a tough decision. He eventually went for it.

Powers showed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for nothing yet, but his overcards and a flush draw could still hit many outs to beat the opponent's {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

"Black deuce!" Powers' rival shouted, calling for a safe card. The dealer, however, wouldn't oblige as the {3-Hearts} hit the felt.

Powers finished with a flush and the big double up vaulted him to 155,000 or so.
