Butcher Catches Lucky River to Claim Bunal's Bounty

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Florencio Bunal
Florencio Bunal

Bradley Butcher opened for 15,000 from the cutoff and Florencio Bunal called from the button.

The flop fell {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Butcher fired out 25,000 and Bunal called.

Butcher check-called Bunal's pot-sized bet of 89,000 after the {9-Hearts} turn and Butcher jammed after the {k-Clubs} fell on the river and Bunal snap-called for less.

Bradley Butcher: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Florencio Bunal: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The river was a dream killer for Bunal as he had Butcher in the grinder with an 82 percent favorite to win the hand but instead was eliminated from the tournament.

Magott Applies Pressure

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

A player in late position raised it to 16,000 and Krzyszof called from his big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}, Magott checked, the late-position player continued for 15,000 and Magott check-called. Magott checked again on the {6-Spades} turn and the late-position player put out a bet of 35,000, which sent Magott into the tank.

After about a minute Magott pushed forward two stacks of 5,000 chips, which left him with about 30,000 behind and would put his opponent all in if he made the call. The late-position player re-checked his cards and thought for about 30 seconds before sending his cards to the muck.

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Bryce Yockey
Bryce Yockey

Hand #1: Jeff Lisandro opened for 16,000 from the cutoff and Bryce Yockey defended his big.

The {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop was checked to the {k-Hearts} turn and Lisandro took down the pot with a 15,000 bet after Yockey checked his option.

Hand #2: Richard Kellett opened for 15,000 from middle position and Yockey called from the small blind.

Both players checked the {9-Clubs}{q-Spades}{a-Spades} flop to the {5-Spades} turn and Yockey took down the pot after leading out for 20,000.

Hand #3: The cutoff player opened for 6,000 and Yockey three-bet to 25,000 and raked in the pot as he was uncontested.

Menezes Defends and Wins Just Before the Dinner Break

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Derek Bowers raised to 15,000 and got called by Dennis Durante on the button and Denilson Menezes from his small blind.

After the three players checked through to the turn on a board of {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Menezes led out for 15,000 and only Durante made the call. Menezes continued for 25,000 on the {q-Hearts} river, which was more than Durante had left in his stack, and was enough to send Durante's cards to the muck.

Zamani Doubles Through Bunal

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Florencio Bunal
Florencio Bunal

On a board showing {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} Florencio Bunal made a pot-sized bet to put Martin Zamani all in and Zamani called.

Florencio Bunal: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Martin Zamani: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Zamani thought he may have slow-rolled Bunal with his two-pair but still had to dodge many cards to win the hand.

Fortunately for Zumani, his two-pair held up as the river fell the {j-Diamonds} and Bunal shipped over 40,000 to Zamni.

Choi Good at Showdown

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Andrew Choi raised it to 13,000 from the cutoff and the big-blind player defended.

After the big-blind player check-called Choi's 20,000 continuation bet on the {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, both players then checked the {q-Spades} turn and {j-Spades} river. Choi tabled {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and took down the pot.
