Hellmuth Busts a Hand After His Aces Were Cracked By Kings

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth lost majority of his chips against his opponent on a board showing {q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Hellmuth held {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} while his opponent had flopped a set and turned a full house with {k-}{k-}{x-}{x-}.

In the very next hand, Hellmuth opened for 9,000 from middle position getting a call from two-players including Tobias Schwecht on the button. The big blind player three-bet pot to 46,500 and Hellmuth got his remaining 2,000 chips in the middle and the player on his left folded while Schwecht came along.

The flop fell {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and the big blind player jammed for 36,500 and Schwecht called.

Phil Hellmuth : {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Big Blind Player: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Tobias Schwecht: {x-}{x-}{x-}{x-}

Hellmuth held the nut draw but couldn't get there as the turn fell the {q-Clubs} and the {6-Diamonds} river.

Keys Forces a Fold

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

After three players, including Minesha Lamba, limped preflop, Ronald Keys raised it to 8,000 from his small blind and all three players came along.

Keys continued for 22,000 on the {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop and only Lamba made the call. After Keys continued his aggression on the {k-Clubs} turn with a pot-sized bet of 83,000 Lamba folded {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} face-up and Keys scooped the pot.

Negreanu Eliminates Vandanapu on the Bubble

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 0 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

With one player left before the bubble burst, a pot was brewing between Daniel Negreanu who sat on the button and Vamshi Vandanapu from the big blind.

The board showed {3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Vandanapu checked his option to Negreanu who fired out 20,000, Sushant called.

The turn paired the board with the {j-Diamonds} and Vandanapu check-called Negreanu's bet of 25,000.

The river fell the {5-Diamonds} and Vandanapu checked his option one last time and Negreanu announced "all-in" putting Vandanapu at risk.

After deep consideration, Vandanapu put his chips in the middle for the call.

Daniel Negreanu: {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Vamshi Vandanapu: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Vandanapu hit running diamonds for the nut flush but that was no good as Negreanu turned jacks-full of sevens and Vandanapu was eliminated on the bubble.

Shack-Harris Eliminated Close to the Money

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 0 ante

Anton Johansson raised to 7,000, Brandon Shack-Harris pot-raised to 24,000, and Johansson called. On the {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop, Johansson bet the last 15,000 of Shack-Harris' stack and Shack-Harris called.

Brandon Shack-Harris: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Anton Johansson: {j-}{9-}{8-}{7-}

Shack-Harris was ahead with aces and the nut flush draw, but the {7-Clubs} turn and {6-Hearts} river improved Johansson to the nut straight. Shack-Harris was eliminated two spots from the money.

Patni Takes It On the River

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 0 ante

Kunal Patni raised it up to 5,000 from early position and was called by Michael Perrone in late position and Heng Zhang from his big blind.

Zhang and Patni both checked the {j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, and after Perrone bet 11,000 only Patni made the call. Patni then check-called again on the {3-Diamonds} turn, but led out with a pot-sized bet on the {k-Spades} flop and got a fold from Perrone.
