Dobson Eliminated

Benjamin Dobson was just eliminated from the tournament as Eemil Tuominen was in the process of raking in the pot. According to Tuominen, the player to his right opened from the cutoff. He three-bet from the button and Dobson cold four-bet all in from the small blind.
The original raiser folded and Tuominen called, showing pocket aces. Dobson showed pocket eights and did not improve as he was sent to the payout line.

Hastings Trending Upward
Brian Hastings raised to 10,000 from early position and action folded around to Davis Aalvik who defended his big blind. The flop came and both players checked.
The turn was and both players checked again. The river came , bringing a straight on the board, and Aalvik checked for a third time. Hastings bet 12,000 and Aalvik thought for a while before announcing that he would fold a straight and asking Hastings if it was a good or bad fold.
"It depends," responded Hastings.
"If it depends, it was probably a good fold," said Aalvik.
"Four-five no good," Hastings said.
Aalvik chuckled a little. "Better than that. Five-six. A nine-high straight," Aalvik responded.
Meanwhile, Hastings is back up over a quarter-million with a stack that is comfortably above the tournament average.
