Kuzmin Eliminates Two, Builds Huge Stack

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

In a three-way pre-flop all in Alexander Kuzmin was in pole position with {9-}{9-} against the {8-}{8-} of one opponent and the {a-}{10-} of Julien Sitbon.

The board ran out in Kuzmin's favor to score a double elimination as the flop gave him a set and he held from there.

Leah Loses Some

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The start of day chip leader Mike Leah, lost a good portion of his stack in a three-way pre-flop all in. Leah held the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} against the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Artur Koren and the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of the shortest stack of the three.

The board would run out {2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} to give the player with the ace of clubs the triple up as the shortest stack and Leah also lost the side pot to Koren who had the queens.

Scholten Bets Enough to Fold Out Cheong

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

On a board that read {4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} Freek Scholten made a bet with a chunk of chips and Joseph Cheong quickly folded. Despite trading chips in that hand, it would appear that both players have chipped up nicely since the start of the day.

Liperis Takes Out Wilson

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

On a flop of {3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts} Brock Wilson found himself all in and at risk with the {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} up against the {8-Spades}{9-Spades} of Yiannis Liperis. The turn and river would not help him as they both came jacks the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} to knock him out abruptly on Day 2.
