Vieira Gets Paid by Strebkov

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

It folded to Joao Vieira who raised to 14,000 on the button and Denis Strebkov called in the big blind.

The flop brought {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and went check-check. Strebkov bet 12,000 when a {7-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Vieira tanked before calling.

On the {8-Spades} river, Strebkov checked and faced a bet worth 43,000 from Vieira. After some thoughts, Strebkov made the call but only to muck when Vieira showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the nut flush.

Siow Wins Three-Bet Pot

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Graeme Siow had opened from under the gun and was three-bet to 27,000 by Ka Lau in the cutoff. Joao Vieira was in the big blind and called and Siow came along as well, taking action three ways to a flop of {8-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs}. All three players checked. The turn {2-Diamonds} and river {4-Hearts} also saw action checked through to showdown.

Vieira announced an eight and tabled {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Siow then showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a pair of kings and all remaining cards left in play were mucked as Siow collected the pot.

Faroni Gets His Revenge on Silver

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Max Silver
Max Silver

Only twenty minutes after Max Silver doubled up through Abraham Faroni, the latter managed to get his chips back and busted Silver in the process.

Silver raised in the hijack and called a three-bet from Faroni situated on the button. When the flop fell {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Silver pushed all in and Faroni snap-called to create the following showdown:

Max Silver: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Abraham Faroni: {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

Silver had a pair of jacks but was facing two pair in Faroni's hand, who eliminated the winner of the 2016 $3,000 Limit Hold'em 6-Handed after the board by completed by a {3-Diamonds} and a {3-Spades}.

Barbero Chips Up Upon Return

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

It didn't take long for Nacho Barbero to increase his stack after play resumed post-dinner break. He just found himself in a multiway limped pot on a flop of {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and action checked to him. He bet 15,000 and only the hijack called.

The turn came {a-Spades} and the hijack checked. Barbero bet 45,000 and his opponent called. The river fell {j-Clubs} and Barbero's opponent led out for 130,000. Barbero thought for some time and eventually called.

His opponent tabled {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Barbero proceeded to turn over {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, good to take down the pot with aces up.
