Iaron Lightbourne
Iaron Lightbourne

Iaron Lightbourne raised on the button and Anton Morgenstern pushed his last chips in the middle from the big blind for a stack around 25,000. Lightbourne called, showing {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

Morgenstern, holding {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, was in bad shape for a double up and found no help on the {7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts} ranout to be eliminated from the tournament.

Ladines Doubles Through Morgenstern; Leaves Him With Crumbs

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Anton Morgenstern saw action folded to him on the button and he limped in. Joshua Ladines completed from the small blind and and Michael Kuney checked his option to take action three ways to the flop {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}. Both blinds checked to Morgenstern, who bet 9,000. Ladines called and Kuney folded.

The turn came {k-Diamonds} and Ladines checked. Morgenstern announced a pot-sized bet that the dealer stated to be 30,000. Ladines check-raised all in for a total of 55,000 and Morgenstern quickly called.

Anton Morgenstern: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Joshua Ladines: {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Ladines was ahead with a straight and needed to fade higher straight outs as well as flush outs. The river was clean for him and he secured the double, leaving Morgenstern with crumbs.

Evans Doubles Through King

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Caleb King raised to 10,000 under the gun and Jerome Evans three-bet to 36,000 one seat over, called by the button and King.

On the flop {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Evans led out for 8,000, leaving him with 2,000 behind. The button folded and King raised. Evans called with his last chips to create the following showdown:

Jerome Evans: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Caleb King: {q-Clubs}{j-}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Evans had hit a full house and the rest of the board didn't change anything with a {3-Spades} and a {8-Hearts} to give him the double up.

Klein One-Outered on River for 600K+ Pot

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Loren Klein (pictured in another event)

On a board of {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades} both Abraham Faroni and Jonathan Gaviao checked from the small blind and hijack, respectively. Loren Klein bet 38,000 and Faroni check-raised to the size of the pot. Gaviao announced he was all in over the top and Klein quickly committed his stack as well.

Jonathan Gaviao: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Loren Klein: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Abraham Faroni: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Klein and Gaviao both found themselves with the current best hand of Broadway and though Klein had redraw outs to a full house, the two of them were in line to split the pot. Faroni hit a miracle, however, as the river {10-Spades} fell and he got nearly a full triple and Klein was left waiting for an escort to the payout desk.
