Break Time

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Players are now on another 20-minute break. When they return they’ll play the remainder of Level 4. Here’s a look at some highlights over the past two hours:

Denison Gets Some Back

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

From the button Grant Denison bet on a flop of {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades}, he was raised to 6,000 by Alexander Livingston from the big blind. Denison called. The turn was the {2-Clubs}. Action went check-check.

The river was the {5-Spades}. Denison bet 10,000 after a check. Livingston thought for a while, but ultimately released his hand and Denison scored a small pot.

Karlsson on Right End of Classic Cooler

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

An Xu got his last 11,800 chips in from late position, and Mats Karlsson three-bet shoved to isolate in early position, chasing the rest of the field out.

An Xu: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Mats Karlsson: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Karlsson was on the right side of the cooler after a {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} board failed to provide a king for Xu.

Messmer Takes Pot On River

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

With around 32,000 in the pot on a board of {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, Aaron Messmer led out from the small blind for 15,000 into his opponent who was under the gun. His opponent thought for about a minute while Messmer stayed stone still, eventually letting his hand go as Messmer took down the pot to bring his stack back to around the 75,000-mark. He had built his stack to that figure earlier in the day and was then seen back near starting stack prior to having won his most recent pot.

Pratt Doubles with Boat vs Boat

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

The words "all in" and call were heard from the far side of the room and PokerNews hightailed it over to Table 428 to find out what was happening. All the cards were out but Denise Pratt was kind enough to run through the action up until that point.

Preflop, Pratt had three-bet Senthuran Vijayaratnam from the small blind and he called. She bet-called his raise on the {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Spades} flop. On the {q-Diamonds} turn, Pratt lead again and Vijayaratnam called. When Pratt checked the {a-Hearts} river, Vijayaratnam set her all in and she called it off.

Denise Pratt: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Senthuran Vijayaratnam: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Vijayaratnam had a full house but Pratt had the nuts and is up into six figures now.

Emmett: "They Need Me on TV. They Want Me On TV."

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante
Randall Emmett

"I'm not going anywhere cause I'm the best in the world!" blasted Randall Emmett as he jumped from his seat and danced around the outer feature table.

Emmett was all in preflop holding {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} against an opponent's {k-}{k-}.

The board ran out {8-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} and Emmett struck a straight on the river to double through.

"They need me on TV. They want me on TV." Emmett continued.

"I gotta reload the table now," Emmett stated as he pulled out what appeared to be a $100 bill and placed it under the dealer's all-in button in what only can be assumed to be as preparation for his next all in.

Patterson Slips

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

With about 4,000 in the pot and the board reading {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, the player in the big blind bet 3,200 and the under-the-gun player called.

Tyler Patterson raised to 10,000 from the button, the player in the big blind took about two-and-a-half minutes before he folded, the UTG player reraised to 30,000 and Patterson mulled it over briefly before he folded.
