Max Value

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

As recapped to us by his table, Max Altergott was on the winning end of a cooler.

The board was {q-}{j-}{8-}, and a three-way all-in ensued with Altergott holding {j-}{j-}, leading one opponent's {8-}{8-} but trailing another's {10-}{9-}.

A {q-} paired the board on the turn and Altergott wound up more than doubling up.

"Timex" Loses on the River

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

In a three-bet pot, the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Mike McDonald, the original three-bettor, bet 8,000 on the button. His opponent check-called the bet before checking the {6-Spades} turn. McDonald now checked behind.

The river brought the {7-Diamonds}, putting a straight on the board as well as completing the flush, and both players checked again. McDonald's opponent rolled over {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the highest possible straight, while McDonald flashed his {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} before mucking.

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

A player opened to 1,500 from under the gun, and the button called. Chris Moon three-bet shoved for 14,900 in the small blind, which chased the big blind and under-the-gun player away pretty quickly.

The button was less quick to release his hand, looking over his own stack for a bit, before sighing and finally sending his hand to the muck.
