Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Sewell Plays it Like a Boss

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

With 7,000 in the pot, the big blind bet 2,300 on a {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} board, and an early position player raised to 7,600. Charlie Sewell in the hijack three-bet shoved for 32,300, and the small blind check-raised all in, four-betting to 55,800. The big blind tanked for a few minutes before folding, claiming to fold a straight after the early position player folded his {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} face-up.

Charlie Sewell: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The big blind shook his head, in disbelief that neither of his opponents held a straight themselves. The {q-Diamonds} river kept Sewell's top set in front, and he doubled up.

"Nice hand sir, back in the game!" Tablemate Will Kassouf told Sewell.

"Did I play it perfect?" Sewell asked Kassouf, who responded, "Like a boss!"

Paik Takes Significant Chips from Soverel

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

A flop of {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} showed on the board, and Sam Soverel had an 8,000 bet in front of him in one of the early positions.

Sammy Paik reraised to 22,000 from the hijack, sending Soverel into the tank. Soverel elected to reraise to an amount that put Paik at risk. Paik instantly called.

Sam Soverel: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Sammy Paik: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The showdown was bad news for Soverel, who was far behind against Paik's set of jacks. The turn {10-Hearts} and river {2-Hearts} brought no help, and Paik doubled up to 115,000. Soverel stood up and did calisthenics behind his chair for a couple of minutes after taking the big hit.
