Mossey Busts One

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Molly Mossey has increased her stack after sending a shorter stack to the rail and was kind enough to provide the details.

According to Mossey, Matthew Ellis raised to 2,500 on the button and Mossey flat-called in the small blind. The big blind shoved for 30 big blinds and Ellis asked for a count, but folded. Mossey called and was ahead with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} versus {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

The board came {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades} and the player at risk failed to hit his two outer.

Vemparala Survives

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Srikant Vemparala got it all in for 15,100 in middle position and a player in the big blind was agonizing. Finally, he made the call with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} but was well behind {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board brought nothing to threaten Vemparala and he collected a double.

Rini Gets a Fold From Grybas

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Steven Grybas raised to 2,600 from the hijack and Robert Rini three-bet to 6,500 on the button. Action folded back to Grybas who called.

The dealer spread a flop of {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Grybas checked. Rini fired 8,000 and Grybas check-called.

The turn came the {8-Clubs} and Grybas checked again. Rini fired a bet of 40,000 and Grybas went deep into the tank.

"You have the jacks this time?" asked Grybas. Rini didn't react and Grybas took another minute of reflection then let it go.

Rini showed the {a-Diamonds} before raking in the pot.

"Diamond, that's good," commented Grybas.

Barny Boatman raised under-the-gun to 2,200 and the action folded around to the big blind who defended.

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, the big blind checked and Boatman continued for 1,300 which the big blind said, "I'm not sure who you're saving chips for but it's one of us." as he called.

The {9-Hearts} fell on the turn and after being checked to Boatman bet out 3,000 and his opponent made the call. The {a-Clubs} hit the river and both players checked. The big blind tabled {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for two pairs, aces and sixes, while Boatman tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for aces and queens and scooped the pot.
